JORDDYYY!!! Oh my gosh, the way Lee captures the perfect duality of reality and dreamlike!!! I do not ever know how you do it, but you truly create and develop a character who makes me feel deeply connected with so wonderfully well, finding Lee to be more than a character; a real person with real emotions and thoughts. As well as he carries the kind of ethereal, mysterious energy that always get me going :000 while he strike me in wonder whenever I see a reply or headcanon of him on my dash, wanting to learn more about him and his universe... The details in your writings and headcanons are just remarkable and they are all forever beyond delightful to read, and, again, how you deliver that both real and dreamlike energy of Lee through them is a thing I find amazing when I personally think it is not easy to have a balance of these two very contrasting elements. Lee is definitely one of my favourite original characters to ever exist and I am forever beyond grateful I got to know him and you. Just, please know that you and your wonderful Lee have all of my and ?'s love and more!!! <3 <3 <3
how am i doing with my character? /// (+ accepting!)
mori, your enthusiasm (and general presence) has immediately become a staple of my dashboard. your excitement for your own character and world as well as others' characters/worlds is infectious and really freeing to see. you are so giving with your time and thoughts and although i haven't whipped up any replies for you yet (there's an ic ask you sent that i am responding to), i'm excited by all the prospects. i remember the thrilled awe i felt when i browsed through your account for the first time. a metafiction character that can/will adapt to not only another's muse but the writer's ideas and biases is an absolutely fascinating concept that i'm still so taken by. ? has me hook line and sinker for better and worst.
reality and dreamlike truly is the key feature i'm trying to play with here. beyond ecstatic that you think i've been able to produce such a balance.
lee coming off as ethereal and mysterious is so amusing but does make sense. i, the writer, am very proud and chuffed by that. but it's so funny to picture lee, in his usual exhausted state, wearing a flannel shirt and boxers and, like, sitting at his kitchen table drinking coffee from the same uncleaned mug he's used all week (lined with six different partially overlapping levels of stained rims on the inside) and being like "that guy's ethereal".
anyway. this is all so so so flattering and i feel so seen and, like, successful.
I bought your Trans David shirt last January/February and today I got to wear it on set as my wardrobe for background! I don’t know how visible it’ll be on screen since I had a biker jacket over it but it was specifically picked out of my lineup of shirts for “looking cool” and I thought I’d share :)
oh my god????? holy moly? this is the sickest thing ever!!! trans david with a biker jacket! you were the coolest person there. invincible. thats so fucking cool. thanks for sharing this! you are... our coolest bravest soldier. so sick!!!!! im losing my mind here!
okay i am def late to the 'who could you see me write' meme (i meant to send this yesterday but i. entirely forgot.) but i was watching some scenes from picard the other day and i feel like q might be right up your alley. idk if you're familiar with him!! omniscient trickster creature with a (justified) god complex who is both hilarious and terrifying and probably a little insane. i might be wrong about the vibe for you?? HOWEVER you write willy wonka and we KNOW that bitch is scary as hell (affectionate). this guy is just space willy wonka, same amount of whimsy, twice the amount of reality bending abilities, so much more annoying but we love him for it.
two beloved mutuals pitching Q has led to me spelunking his star trek tags. you are correct. he’s very much my brand. you have successfully sold him to me. i need to watch some episodes he appears in. and then i will add him to my secret menu here.
I'm particularly fond of Gal and Joey, as those are the two I've seen you write the most. I think your injection of humour into threads w these two is top tier, expecially when they're such interesting characters to be explored. Not on this blog, what I've seen of Chilton I've really enjoyed. I love those books, and while I've never seen the how, I think you have a really interesting take on him as a character.
✨who's your favorite muse of mine and why?✨
joey has become a staple here I could never have anticipated. we honest to god owe it all to @l-ivestudioaudience. without j plucking joey from the roster to throw a sentence prompt at, none of gooniverse would have happened. he’s a fun guy to write and im always touched when people vocally/noticeably enjoy him because although he’s not my highest brow muse, he’s got a lot of care packed into him. and it’s nice to know my sillier stuff doesn’t feel like junk.
gal guy! i feel it is generally harder to get people invested in and to care about a female character. she’s really meant to be a cheeky fuck you to that. literally cosplaying one of the most quintessential male roles—peter parker—and doing it (HOPEFULLY) better: with more silly and complex layers (gender journey, gender fuckery, race, the hustle of minimum wage, hero origin story with and ambiguous/layered motives).
chilton is someone me from several years ago would not have conceived of writing. he’s fun. a really exciting morally gray character to write and get in the headspace of. he’s not my highest brow muse, but he’s top three. there are a few lines or replies on his account where i feel i really met my peak writing ceiling. I don’t often feel that way (tumblr is mostly a space for me to experiment and to attempt (and fail) to not worry if im not delivering knockouts every reply (this is partially why joey has been so prominent: he’s supposed to be my “don’t think and agonize so much about it just have fun” muse)).
anyway. thank you for sending a response!!! this means a great deal!
Jordy……..your ocs are so cool and so creative like how do you even THINKK of this stuff….you wow me bc damn the writing and the creativeness… 🙌🙌🙌 oc legend honestlyyyyh
thank you noel! for the last several months, most of my writing has been on my multi and of that selection, mostly ocs (as compared to the canons also written here). so it’s always a welcome and exciting relief when I hear someone is enjoying the writing of an oc (the stigma being that ppl care more about canons).
we have followed each other for upwards of a decade. and I think of your and august’s ocs frequently and the arcs/developments they’ve gone through with great interest!
jordy i'm pretty sure you invented magical realism. lee is a character that feels incredibly real but also sort of 'up in the clouds' at the same time, both easy and hard to grasp, if it makes any sense. i'm obsessed with the way you convey everything through your writing and how nothing you write is ever superfluous or redundant, everything helps shaping lee and the world around him and how he perceives it magnificently. it's like a painting! in short take my money

i've had this message open in its own tab and keep clicking back to it to answer and every time i am speechless. reoccurring psychic damage.
you already (hopefully) know how much i fawn over your writing (but i will/can happily, continuously, endlessly go on about this; easily and readily because your writing is so rich, there's so much that can be touched upon or delved into (do you see what i mean? your writing is so good that just discussing the existence of it leads to compliments)). it's highly inspiring and aspirational. it's amazing how detailed and handily you can write characters like metatron and the joker on the same account. equally as riveting. peeking into their headspace. but with a narrative voice tailored specifically to them. distinctive to them. yet packed just as full with delicious descriptions. i'm a big fan, to say the least, and a bit awestruck to write with you!
up in the clouds but real / easy and hard to grasp are exactly the sentiments i revolve around for lee, i'm so happy it feels that way.
this account (and i think it might be influenced by you) has quickly taken a turn into practicing/trying to add as much detail as i can—pockets of detail—to build an atmosphere and understanding without overdoing it. i'm usually not a longwinded writer. but i've been pushing myself on lee to write long replies. so, it's really really fantastic to hear that even though i'm somewhat artificially trying to write more it's not coming across that way?
anyway. thank... you... my undying love and devotion to you.
just wanted to say hi and that your promo for this blog is one of the most interesting and intriguing teasers for a character ever. I’ve been around the rpc for eight years and I’ve never thought ‘sold. I’m in.’ Immediately upon reading a promo. I hope you are genuinely proud of the character you’ve created!!!
hello! this is incredibly kind of you to think. even kinder of you to voice. thank you!
