Under a cut because this is long. If you're on tumblr mobile rn: I'm sorry.

... and I just saw a .gif of the Columbine shootings that was used to blame one of my medications for the attacks.
I can't.

Totally, yeah. It's sickening.
I just saw a post about another one of my meds that correlated it to the Columbine Massacre, and I'm honestly feeling upset right now.

Hey, so after seeing some posts of one of the medications I take being used alongside illegal recreational drugs, I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that taking psychiatric meds to get high is actually really ableist.
For people who don't need psychiatric drugs, those pills are a way to get high.
For people who need psychiatric drugs, they're one of the things that help people to function in their day-to-day lives.
Using psychiatric medication when you don't need it is dangerous for you and those who actually need it. It also creates a huge storm of issues for people who legitimately need medication for a psychiatric disorder, ranging from restricted access to these meds to further stigmatization of medication and mental illness in general.
So don't do it.
also sometimes i sit there and wonder like what if were all just tv show characters but then i wonder what real people look like like are they more realistic than we are wouldnt that be creepy
