We know that animal symbolism is huge in rdr2, but I especially love how the gang having "assigned" animals was made canon thanks to red dead online - as belt buckles of all things! (gorgeous ones too!)

Charles, Micah, Sadie, Karen, Javier, Strauss, Swanson, and Bill each had themed buckles from the long discontinued Outlaw Passes. They weren't directly named after each gang member, but the clothing and details are almost exact to their human counterparts!

needing a movie to spell everything out for you (general you) because you can't think for yourself or make the very obvious connections yourself, despite being shown what it all means—it's just not being said—is entirely a you-problem, and I'm tired of people shitting on movies for making them connect the dots themselves and realising they're incapable of it, so they blame the movie for it.

no. you're just not paying attention, let alone thinking about it. you're being shown exactly what you need to understand, but you have to be told directly because you somehow never learned how to comprehend anything by yourself. that's a you-problem. that's a subjective thing. it's not the movie's fault.

One day someone will make a "actually there IS a platonic explanation for that" post that doesn't totally invalidate my experiences growing up somewhere where gestures like holding hands and cuddling and sleeping in the same bed and cheek kisses, and complete and utter devotion etc etc really don't have a platonic explanation.

Today isn't that day.

I didn't grow up with those things happening between friends. I just didn't. Hell, I bumbled into my first relationship with someone in college because I misread one of our interactions one day -- the interaction? Sharing a slice of cake at a cafe.

I was in college on the other side of the country the first time a friend kissed my cheek. The first time I experienced a true cuddle puddle. The first time someone just.... Leaned against me because we were sitting next to each other. The first time someone played with my hair while my head was on their lap. The first time a friend said 'i love you' in a non jokey way and I could say it back without feeling weird about it.

Where I grew up there's a VERY hard line between what is acceptable behavior between friends vs romantic interests. And it's taken me a lot of self reflection and unlearning to work on erasing that line.

Posts that scoff at people for making comments about there not being a platonic explanation for a behavior don't help. They make me feel even more isolated and broken than I already do, over societal norms completely out of my control.

We say all the time that the biggest perk for i-stays when it comes to the fanclub is the FANS app, so over the past year I tracked how often the app was used.

I am spinning a self-indulgent pirate au just because i think the horror squad would have a lot of fun being a tiny crew that still manages to be enough of a menace to get the goddamn navy on their asses. and yet they are never caught

Every time someone asks who the captain is they give a different answer. It takes people far too long to realize this. this causes a few accusations of misogyny and/or racism to fly when some people insist one is the captain in front of people who were told it was one of the others. the three of them are greatly enjoying the chaos

They have a deceptively small ship, and unless their target is also a very small one, they sneak aboard at night and steal as many shinies (and often food) as they can, and killing whoever's awake. maybe a few of the ones who are sleeping (usually people of higher ranks) if they're feeling extra chaotic. Then they leave. They have a hideout on a little island not too far from the mainland, where they keep all their treasure. they got a piano there somehow and frankly they're still not sure how they managed it, but it's their most prized possession just by virtue of how hard it was to move the fucking thing. they also have a violin and guitar and play together pretty often.

Their hideout also has a hidden bunker with their most important shinies (and less shiny treasures. like the goddamn piano) are kept, and if they see a ship approaching they'll just go hide in their. They'll grab as much as they can from the main area, because they don't want all of their hard-earned shinies to just be stolen from them, but a few bits of treasure are a small price to pay for their freedom and lives. They never leave enough in the main area for anyone to figure out its them, so most people don't look too hard for secret hiding spots.

I was going to have Kevin be a parrot but now I’m considering some kind of sea monster. Something that looks like it wouldn’t be intelligent but he very much is and enjoys helping his mortal friends out. Possibly they feed him some of the people who have the misfortune of being awake when they board in the middle of the night to steal stuff. Not sure if he should be like a leviathan tho or something smaller that can maybe come hang out with them on their island. Maybe their bunker has underwater access. The exist is too far for a human to swim, but Kevin can pop in whenever no problem. He chills and sometimes even sings with them when they play

I started working on a Heroforge thing for Pluto last night but unfortunately I’m At Work so the full set will have to wait 😔

hashtag making a proposition for the Addams Family set except design and aesthetics and stuff are not my forte so I did the really tedious part of the worksheet so I can let the rest of my group work their magic

except now I'm doing the long tedious part so I moved onto modelling an approximation of our stage in 3D so I can be useful and show my groupmates what their designs would like
