I want to get in a swordfight.

I want to settle the matter, to draw steel and let blades decide what words cannot.

I want to look into someone's eyes and see understanding, that there is only one way this ends.

I want to feel the rush, the pounding of blood in my ears and my chest as I fight to the death.

I want to feel my bones sing as I dance to the rhythm of love and hate, thinking faster than thought and moving faster than reaction.

I want to stand, breathing ragged, in the aftermath, doomed or victorious, but changed regardless.

I want to leave something behind in the dust, be it my corpse or a piece of my soul.

I want to get in a swordfight.
