Razor already fell off once
Some random stuff I wanted to talk about the new cutscenes with Kaeya and DIluc...
I love how they’re bringing more the elements they have. It seems they’ve confirmed that Pyro users emit heat, so Diluc melted Kaeya’s bridge by stepping on it. So I’m guessing Cryo users emit cold on the other hand.
And about that, it’s so funny that Mihoyo made a reference about Kaeya making bridges with his Cryo 😂
Also, notice that Kaeya could have gone alone with his bridge and leave Diluc by himself. But he cares about his bro so of course he wouldn’t leave him alone! Even if they had to stay together arguing 😅
We can also definitely confirm that Kaeya knows who Venti is, but Barbara was there so of course he made a joke about it. (Klee wouldn’t care so much lol)
I wanted to add that the line about Diluc getting a tan wasn’t in the Japanese dialogue, so that may be a joke from the English translators. It was funny nonetheless lol
Kaeya continues with his pirate shenanigans and I love it 😂 He’s definitely going to investigate the place, and Diluc too. They may even end up working together with that... They have the same goal after all.
Another thing is that Kaeya seems to have a lot of nostalgia about Summer and beaches. Must be a reference to him coming during the Summer to Mondstadt. We don’t know in which state Khaenri’ah is right now, but it’s definitely possible that coming to Mondstadt was the first time he saw beaches. The fact that he and Diluc used to do things like collecting seashells is adorable.
Speaking of which, several times they refer to those times as “when we were kids” (in Japanese, they use a word that especifically means they were little). We don’t exactly know when Kaeya came to Mondstadt, how old he was. But with this, we can say that he had to be pretty young. My headcanon’s always been that he was 8-10 years old at max.
And of course I’m so happy seeing the bros acting like bros. It’s the first time we’ve seen them having so many petty arguments, and in front of other people too! They act so much like brothers here, bickering about everything. But also working together when they have to. I really wanna see more of this.
Please... Imagine if we get a cutscene at the end where they finally get to enjoy being on the beach.
Like Klee catching fish with Jean, maybe Barbara could do something with Razor to make him feel more part of the group since they’re on the same island right now, Albedo working on his own things but then joining Klee, and Kaeya trying to encourage Diluc to go collect seashells lol
I do hope we get a cutscene like that. They’re all hoping to truly enjoy the island and Summer, they deserve that final break before going back!

I still think it’s precious that they were constantly putting the siblings standing side by side during the cutscenes of the event.
Such a small but wholesome detail 😌

Diluc: *steps in and melts it*
Kaeya: Uh... I have to admit, I didn’t consider that.
Diluc: *sighs* Just... go by yourself. I’ll just wait here.
Kaeya: Nah, I’ll stay here too. *goes back*
Diluc: Why? You were just complaining that you wanted to go to the other island.
Kaeya: Yeah but... being alone is so boring ~
Diluc: Hmph. Idiot...

(Also, this sounds better in Japanese. Kaeya sounds really fond of those memories and Diluc is slightly surprised at the end but in a good way. And Kaeya teases Diluc a little lol. He doesn’t want Diluc to be bored alone, he wants to have fun together...)
The whole scenario is so hilarious... Kaeya, Diluc and Albedo got trapped in the island, and while Kaeya and Diluc were bickering about what to do Albedo just ditched them lol
He freaking went to another island using his flowers
And then Kaeya tried his building bridges skills but Diluc as a Pyro user just melted them, leaving them there by themselves until we showed up
It’s so perfect 😂
