Judge Dredd "Any Questions?" art by Mike McMahon from Judge Dredd in The Judge Child Quest No. 5, cover dated December 1984. This was in a reprint series from Eagle Comics but the art originally appeared on the cover of 2000AD and Tornado Prog. 168, dated 12 July 1980. McMahon certainly produced his fair share of iconic Dredd images.

1975 ad for the Airfix model kit of the Short Skyvan. Manufactured in Northern Ireland like all those other icons of the transport world (the RMS Titanic, the DMC DeLorean, the Shorland Armoured Car...can't think of anymore just at the minute).
The Skyvan had multiple uses, both commercially and in the military, and it led to the development of the Short 330 (and later the Short 360).
The Skyvan is shown above in the livery of Olympic Air/Olympic Airways, a Greek airline. You can just about make out the company logo on the twin tail. It shows six interlocking rings - they couldn't use the Olympic Games logo of five rings as it had been copyrighted.
The Avengers and The Savage Sword of Conan No. 95, week ending 12 July 1975. It wasn't announced in the previous issue but a decision must have been taken at short notice to merge the poorer selling Conan weekly title with The Avengers. Marvel UK.

Probably the most famous picture of a Stormtrooper firing a cloud of orange smoke...ever! Don't know whether he is celebrating the Twelfth here in Norn Ireland or the latest win by Max Verstappen. Photo cover on Star Wars Weekly No. 58, dated 4 April 1979. This is the same image that was used on the backing card of the Stormtrooper action figure from Kenner (and the UK Palitoy version). The Stormtrooper was one of the original 12 figures released in 1978. Always felt cheated by the use of this image though as it shows two Stormtroopers but you only got one action figure. Grrrrr.
