Day by day, week by week. We are chiseling away the winter fluff and slowing leaning back out. This 12 week shred is pushing me out of the comfort zone. As someone who is well versed in tracking, coaching, working out etc. Even a new challenge will get me out of my comfort zone because I want to do just as well and get as great results as the other ladies. It is all a mindset and when you set your mind something, nothing can stop you. That's what I have been really focusing on, and i have definitely cleaned up my diet a ton since starting this diet. The hard pill to swallow when it comes to getting results, is not the working out aspect....that is the easy part. the hard part is not eating a lot of junk, and not just eating out of boredom, out of laziness, or because the drive through is quick and convenient. I love me a good burger and fry, but eating that multiple times a week may not affect you if you track it, but you may not feel the best. I know for me, if I have fast food more than once a week I feel pretty sluggish and like my energy is low. Where as when I focus on eating more nutrients, and making sure I get my servings of fruits and veggies in, I feel a lot better. So with this challenge, I have been pushing myself to cook more, get in more than just 2 servings of veggies. Get in at least 1 serving of fruit a day, and make sure my protein sources are better quality than what they have been. Less processed foods. Less protein bars as meals instead of quick protein sources for snacks etc. I am actually taking the time to prep my meals again, and I feel so much better and less stressed.
