what if you were a PEASANT so you were basically ENSLAVED and you lived in LITHUANIA but you signed up for a peasant EXCHANGE program Erasmus, and you could go to FRANCE but your family convinced you that Poland was BETTER so you went to POLAND and you became the blacksmith's HELPER and you told a girl to feed the HORSES but it turned out that she's a NOBLEWOMAN but she was NICE and she wanted to HANG OUT with you, but her father wanted her to marry a magnate's SON, but you befriended her and you KISSED, and the magnate's son head EXPLODED and you had to do SIDEQUESTS for her father, and you almost got KILLED multiple TIMES and then you decided to run AWAY with her so you got into illegal SALT business and you were ARRESTED and almost EXECUTED but then she RESCUED you dressed up as a BOY and people thought you were GAY and then you broke UP and you went to GDAŃSK

Maciej saying "I just want the balance of power. Without it, there's no love. Only submission" to Aniela at the end of s2ep6 (and that whole conversation in general really) is so important to me. I really really love Aniela, don't get me wrong, but I feel like she thinks that just because she goes out and talks to/helps the peasants, then there's suddenly no power imbalance whatever. Even though she's so proud of herself for being socially conscious, there's a lot of stuff she's still incredibly ignorant about. I just kind of wish that Maciej also told her that he almost got bet off by her dad. I think that'd be a bit of a wake-up call
