Endings and Beginnings and Goals! Oh my!
Because I am too late to join the 4 Simple Goals before 2014 meme, I came up with this—4 things I gave up/let go of in 2013:
1. I stopped drinking coffee on June 1.
2. I have shed close to 20 lbs. since exercising/weight lifting regularly beginning June 1 and fully committing to changing my eating habits to a Paleo lifestyle near the end of July.
3. I am refraining from drinking alcohol for one year—beginning the end of September.
4. In living a Paleo lifestyle, I have eliminated bread, rice, pasta, and legumes entirely from my diet, most fruit (due to the sugar), refined sugar, processed foods, and dairy (with the exception of an occasional ice cream).
And here are 4 goals I will strive to attain in 2014:
1. Incorporate meditation into my life as a routine.
2. Focus on writing and publishing my book.
3. Travel out of the country in the summer.
4. Recreate my professional self so I am marketable outside of social work.
I will continue focusing on health and nutrition while strengthening my spiritual and mental being and further developing my creative and professional self.
