If we ignore the whole ninja crime cult, was Ch’rell a good dad to Karai? Like genuinely, where does he fall on the imaginary-dad-scale. Like Karai obv cares about him but what about Ch’rell, is she just a tool or did he have her school stuff pinned to the fridge wherever they lived?

Like. I think Karai was genuinely the only person he told about the whole alien thing. Even Hun didn’t know and who knows how long he worked for the Shredder. Imagine it was just an accident. 9yr old Karai accidentally walking in on him changing his torso wrap only to make eye contact with an alien.

Also does he just go on walks on a whim? Bc there was no reason for him to be out there when he found her. He likes talking walks, doesn’t he. Imagine being one of the turtles reading a pop culture mag and BOOM a paparazzi shot of Oroku Saki on a morning walk.

I bet there’s documentaries about him. Like first of all the giant Japanese style house on top of a sky scraper (which btw had a garden, my headcanon about him liking walks is becoming more true by the minute), that has to have at least like 2 documentaries about the architecture. Then there’s the time the whole place got destroyed on multiple levels due to the turtles, that shit def got on the news, the police showed up! Someone def noticed when a bunch of gang people went in during the city at war storyline. Then there’s the whole spaceship launch situation. Everybody probably thinks he died in the explosion bc he was a crazy business man that wanted to go to space. 😭

My brain is infected with thoughts about Donatello, with the specific sub-section addition of SAINW.

They’ve been a group of three brothers longer than they’d ever been four, but the impact of the missing and non-existent fourth is one of the biggest catalysts’ of their lives.

Every single person they’ve met after 16 has no idea who Donatello was as a person. The only information they have is from the grief colored lenses of his loved ones who never saw him grow past 16. They can ponder about what kind of drinker he was, if he even would’ve drank, but they’ll never know. What about humor as he aged? Dietary preferences? Music? Do new people even know what he looked like? The only photos they’d have would be decades old. How fast did people forget aspect about him? When you look near identical to your brother it’s really easy to start blurring the lines between what he actually looked like & you with a purple headband.

The ultimate drako arc in 2003 really is the funniest shit possible.

Raph gets to race space bikes and help uncover corporate corruption and greed.

Leo gets to go on a political road trip in alternate dimension ancient-Japan.

Donny gets to go to an apocalypse, kill a man and watch most of his family die.

Mikey gets to meet (even more) superheroes and kill a man and in the process technically commit patricide.

I’m blaming this on a TikTok.

Imaging being 2012 Splinter. You loose your entire family in one night. One night your brother shows up at your house, and just attacks. Your wife, the woman you love, is in this house. Your infant daughter is in this house. And now it’s on fire. Next thing you know your wife is dead, the house is falling apart and you do not know where your child is. You assume she burned to death before ever even having the chance to grow up.

Years later and you’re a father again. This time to four instead of one.

Now the original point I started this for.

Splinter is the only “human” contact the turtles have for 15 years. The only thing to teach them apart from him is the TV and whatever books they can find. Splinter was human at some point. He’s aware what life as a human is like. He knows how the world works. And now he’s put in charge of four infants who are not human and he’s expected to keep them safe. His role is to literally to nurture and keep the only 4 people of an entire species alive. There’s nobody to tell him about specific dietary needs of a mutated turtle. What about age? Normal turtles are known for living long. Does that mean his sons will age slower? Faster? The same pace as a human? How cognizant are they? Can they speak or are they just smarter than an average animal?

You know the trope of Character A & Character B where B puts their body and spirit into keeping A safe no matter the cost? That Splinter’s role. He needs to hide his children from others in fear of harm. He goes to the extreme to the point that their food consists of algae & worms.

Splinter’s the video game protagonist protecting four npc’s from harm. He’s leading four children through the dark with only 1 torch that he’s carrying. He’s standing across four children in the ruins of a disaster with the wisdom to know that only he can keep them safe & that he cannot ask for help.

He’s a man who did not know sentient life outside of humans existed and now he’s charged with keeping 4 children of a basically-alien species alive.

The mutation! How is he to know whether or not they’re safe. Did the mutation stop or is it still ongoing constantly? Will one of his children come to him one day, complaining of a tooth ache, only to grow a second set of teeth instead of loosing one like “normal”? Are the achy joints a consequence of training or an omen of the future? What about “normal”? Can he even set a “normal” as a concept. They aren’t normal by humanity’s standards, but to these children this life is normal.

Thinking of Mydei’s backstory makes me giggle purely bc of how insane it is. 😭

From my understanding, a timeline:

He’s born and his parents r like: “damn he’s a quiet cryer” but then Nikador also starts shouting and they go: “YOOOO”

There’s some prophecy abt him killing his dad and his dad gets salty, imprisons the literal baby, and then his mom fucking dies trying to beat his dad’s shit in.

He gets thrown into the Sea of Souls

Spends the next 9 (or more) years floundering around there, dying and coming back, and becoming a local legend

Joins up with exiled(?) Kremnoan’s and they start gallivanting around doing shit

Huge time skip to adult, kills his dad and all his friends died at somepoint

Takes the Kremnoan Detachment to Okhema to seek refuge

6 years later, we show up

Like, how did he learn to speak. Did he just bump into someone at age 10 and get taught language. Not to mention general social etiquette. I also like to think that he learned what armor was before actual clothes, like in a self taught “it’s easier to fight when I don’t have a stab wound, if I put on this gauntlet I don’t get stabbed and I can stab things” type of beat.

The funniest answer for what happened to SAINW Don is that he walked out of his bedroom and the moment his foot passed the doorframe the lair was suddenly straight trashed. Mans just straight up walked into a wormhole on accident.

So we know that Mydei has to literally make his way back to life on his own will. My question is whether or not it’s a wholly willpower thing or if he actually has to walk out. Because in either scenario he was one determined baby when he died the first time.

Do you think there are internet debates about the turtles in the MM universe? Like people build a fan base around them and just straight up lies start spreading around like they would about real/normal celebrities.
