Myka loves Helena from afar, sees her with other people, enjoys hearing her laugh so beautiful and clear, wishing it was directed at her yet never daring to approach…
She gains a pen friend in an author of science fiction she wrote a letter to once, complimenting her writing.
An easy friendship grows between the two women, but never moves away from the written word, they never meet in person, don't even know each other's true names.
Finally, her penpal asks to meet and Myka agrees.
She is shocked to find Helena waiting for her - shocked, but also quite pleased.
