What was your opinion about the "Sirius Black served Voldemort" hysteria, my lord? I felt that you must have felt insulted since Regulus's older brother didn't meet your standards.
Ah, the elder Black traitor.
I admit, it is amusing. Sirius Black, one of mine? Laughable. I knew his family quite well, and I had that boy down for a traitor by time he was twelve. People must have really worked though some mental gymnastics to accept that rumor.
As for Regulus, I always felt his reluctance, but accepted him as a Death Eater nonetheless. His father and cousins were quite loyal, after all, and I assumed the boy’s need to prove himself would straighten him out.
Alas.
I despise both Black brothers, but at least Sirius had the backbone to pick a side and stay there, so as not to waste my time.
