Welcome to my 911 rewatch where I’m going to give my thoughts on each episode. I’ll be talking about the big things, small things and everything in between.
We’re already a my the season 1 finale!
Let’s watch 1.10 “A Whole New You”
I get the woman is having a stroke and people can suddenly wake up with an accent but Christ they didn’t need to write her as using all of the most generic English slang ever. Also, it’s not “going to spare” it’s “going spare” (means losing your temper). As a limey bitch myself, it makes me cringe so much! Nobody says “spot of tea” unless you’re the queen, “bobbies” for police is used by maybe some Londoners over the age of 60. I don’t know how Oliver could stand hearing it lol.
“A woman learns that symptoms can be different.” - Athena. I like that they actually acknowledge some medical symptoms are different for women.
Bobby is so adorable taking his dating app photos!
He is correct though—good flan is the bomb!
I feel so sorry for Buck when that woman walks in and slaps him. Although it was a fantastic tv slap!
Michael being sad that May is too old to have her dad twist her hair ☹️
I liked that May is so insightful asking if them staying away for the first time with their dad since the marriage ending was something the parents might want to talk about.
I love that May and Harry (and Denny and later Christopher) are still played by the same actors today. Child actors are often switched out for a variety of reason, but it’s so lovely seeing them grow up through the seasons
Don’t care how many times you waking up after “dying” makes you feel alive dude, if you’re shitting up the coroner you need to wear a med bracelet or tattoo as Chim suggested.
I do hate that nobody believes that Buck was telling the truth about not knowing those women. Aside from Chim who looked into it and found the profile.
The motorcyclist cut in half was gnarly as fuck! I think it’s one of, if not the most, gruesome accident in the entire show.
“Hey yo rebar!” Followed by that cocky Buck swagger gets me every time 😂
I like that we’re really starting to see how empathetic Buck is. Nobody could blame him for not caring about the catfish but instead he made sure the guy had some dignity in his death.
Yummy fountain of body goo! 🤢
I totally understand why Abby had to leave in order to grieve for her mum. However, the least she could have done was tell Buck she was thinking of doing before booking the plane ticket.
“I am excited for you almost as much as I am sad for me.” 😭
Love Chim helping Bobby dress for his date.
Florence and the Machine!
Bobby throwing out the book!
I love the tree-shaped window on Hens and Karens door.
