Presenting the revamp of my British Railways 9F.
92203 Black Prince is preserved (irl) on the North Norfolk Railway .
92220 Evening Star is preserved (irl) in the National Collection, she was already selected for preservation when built, as she was the last steam engine built for BR.
92000 Crewe Works is preserved at the Sodor Railway Musuem as the class prototype.
92162 is preserved on the Coleford Preservation Railway after a stint working for the National Coal Board (who donated her to the railway)
92079 Brianna was purchased by the NWR, for Banking at Wellsworth due to her experience/time working on the Lickey Incline.
92210 was purchased by Caledonian Preservation Railway in 1964. While the line was focused on Caledonian locomotives and rolling stock, 92210 was only 5.25 years old when withdrawn, and the line couldn't pass up the opportunity of a basically new locomotive. She was painted in Caledonian Blue to help her blend in with the rest of the fleet, and has remained as such ever since.
92001 Murdoch is the second built 9F and was was delivered directly to the North Western Region (Railway) where she has remained ever since. When adpated for a childrens tv series in 2003, the Show portrayed her as male, much to her ire.
92167 Vulcan was one of the last two 9Fs in service, and quite famously broke a rod, forcing her to finish her service as a 2-8-2. She was purchased by the London New Eastern Railway directly from BR, and repaired.
92160 Hephaestus was the other of the last two 9Fs in service, and was run directly onto Chester and Holyhead Railway's lines and ownership at the end of the day.
92250 Tamerlane was the last steam engine built at Crewe Locomotive Works as was bought direct from British Railway by The Rose Line preservation society.
92187 Paddington Station, the first Swindon built 9F, is preserved on the Kingsbridge Branchline Railway.
92170 Brighton Belle ia preserved on the Spa Valley Railway.
92169 Minerva, one of the first withdrawn, was purchased by the London New Eastern Railway
C92 (formerly 92137) was handed over to the Denbigh and Wrexham Railway upon their seperation from British Railways.

Bentley EXP 9 F
Bentley EXP 9 F
The history of the Bentley company, founded in 1919 by the famous British engineer Walter Owen Bentley, is clearly divided into three stages: independent existence (1919-1931), as part of Rolls-Royce (1931-1998) and under the control of Volkswagen (1998-present) .).
Bentley
The most famous cars of this brand - the 3 Liter, 4 1/2 Liter and Speed Six models - were created in Cricklewood, London in the first ten years of the company. All of them were in line with Bentley's idea of a real sports car: fast, powerful, heavy, with a large engine and a luxurious interior. Such cars were equally suitable for both racing and everyday use, for which they were prized by wealthy British motorists. The company was supported by contributions from its wealthy fans known as the "Bentley Boys". Le Mans victories in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930 glorified Bentley cars all over the world.

It was an all-wheel drive station wagon of the Sport Utility Vehicle type, built on the Volkswagen Group PL71 platform, common to the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg. Under the hood was a 6-liter W12 biturbo engine from Bentley Continental. This is where the similarities between the concept car and the future production version end.

Bentley EXP 9 F
The Bentley EXP 9F is a very large and heavy car, but its dynamic and muscular design indicates exceptional performance. At the front, there is a massive matrix grille and huge round headlights, under which are located the same size round air intakes in the form of turbines, framed by running lights.

Bentley EXP 9 F At the rear are horizontal rectangular headlights with oval LEDs and oblong oval tailpipes. The turbine theme continues with unique 23-inch multi-blade alloy wheels. The fifth door consists of two parts: the lower one drops down and turns into a bench or picnic table, and the upper one has an awning in case of rain and two umbrellas.

The interior of the Bentley EXP 9F is a combination of traditional luxury and high technology. The decoration uses leather, wood, wool, polished aluminum and bronze. The console consists of a flat control panel and touchscreen display, and 3D navigation is output directly to the TFT dashboard between two analogue dials.

There are three driving modes: Comfort, Sport and Off-Road, which are activated depending on the road conditions analyzed by the computer via satellite. Rear passengers have access to folding tables with keyboards and internet connection, monitors in the front seat headrests, a champagne refrigerator in the center armrest and a panoramic glass roof.

Dirk van Breckel, Bentley's design director, believes the new concept represents the absolute pinnacle of the SUV segment and a new benchmark for all manufacturers with crossover ranges. Naturally, the prototype was created in full accordance with the corporate design style - this applies both to the exterior and to the luxurious interior, built with extensive use of precious woods and expensive leather.

Today is the anniversary of what has become to be known as #9F (9th of February) a dreadful day in modern Salvadoran history. On this day the building of the Legislative Assembly (Congress) was surrounded by the military and police in a show of force by president Nayib Bukele’s attempted coup. This has been the strongest blow to the fragile and young Salvadoran democracy since the signing of the Peace Accords in 1992. Bukele (known to be a Millennial and youngest leader in the Western Hemisphere), has been accused of wanting top run an authoritarian government and overstepped the principle of independence, bringing back memories from the civlil war which took place in the 80’s and lasted 12 years. Prompting the hashtag #9FNuncaMas (9F Never Again). This time a train is crossing! British Railways Standard 9F 2-10-0 92214 passes with the 10.00 Covid Quorn-Quorn service on the first weekend of renewed operations.
The British Railways (BR) Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 is a class of steam locomotive designed for British Railways by Robert Riddles. The Class 9F was the last in a series of standardised locomotive classes designed for British Railways during the 1950s, and was intended for use on fast, heavy freight trains over long distances. It was one of the most powerful steam locomotive types ever built for British Railways, and successfully performed its intended duties. The class was given the nickname of 'Spaceships', due to its size and shape. In 1955 BR experimentally built 10 9F's at Crewe Works; these 10 were fitted with Franco-Crosti boilers. The Franco–Crosti boiler is a type of boiler used for steam locomotives. It was designed in the 1930s by Attilio Franco and Dr Piero Crosti. The main difference between it and conventional feedwater heaters widely used on the continent is that the Franco-Crosti boiler uses both exhaust steam and exhaust gases from the firebox. Conventional feedwater heaters only use exhaust steam. The Franco-Crosti boiler took the form of a single cylindrical water drum running along the underside of the main boiler barrel; the standard chimney at the front was only used during lighting-up, in normal working the gases went through firetubes inside the preheater drum that led to a second smokebox situated beneath the boiler from which there emerged a chimney on the right-hand side, just forward of the firebox. However; the experiment did not deliver the hoped-for benefits, and efficiency was not increased sufficiently enough to justify the cost and complexity. Moreover, conditions were unpleasant on the footplate in a cross-wind, this in spite the later provision of a small deflector plate forward of the chimney. These problems led to the subsequent sealing off of the preheater drum, over the period of 1959 to 1961, and the locomotives were then worked conventionally. As a result of this, there was a reduced ability to generate steam, and so their power classification was reduced from 9F to 8F. No. 92028 was the first Franco-Crosti 9F to be withdrawn in October of 1966, No. 92027 followed in August of 1967, with the remainder being withdrawn en masse in November of 1967. All were scrapped, with none surviving into preservation.
