Cishet aspecs are queer.

Cishet aromantics are queer. Cishet asexuals are queer. Cishet aplatonics are queer. Cishet afamilials are queer. Cishet anattractionals are queer.

Aspecs are queer as hell and excluding them only isolates queer people from their community.

Hot take, but the aspec community needs to get some pride.

Everything is watered down to be as inoffensive as possible. Every statement sounds like it's been revised to prove themselves to an imaginary hate mob, when there is an actual hate mob, who doesn't care how palatable you make yourself.

I think that if you were to see someone from another community acting this way about their community and using language and phrasing the way a lot of aspec people do, then you would probably assume that they were either insecure about their identity or seeking external validation from whoever they consider "normal".

Happy Pride Month everyone can we please remember Aplatonic, Aqueerplatonic, Afamilial, Analterous (I probably spelt it wrong T0T), A-aesthetic (I also probably spelled that wrong-), and any other less known Aspec identities exist?

Also I’m very tired of seeing platonic and queerplatonic relationships becoming the new ‘All people experience this attraction’ of the Aspec community, cmon we can’t just repeat the cycle of doing this but with platonic and queerplatonic attraction instead of romantic and sexual attraction

I’m not saying to just stop having and portraying these types of relationships and stuff but just, remember we exist please

you know, with pride month happening and all, can we possibly see some nonaesthetic/a-aesthetic rep somewhere?

I don't see it really talked about anywhere but we're out there.

Those who compliment your outfit because we don't know if you, yourself, look good.

Those who default to positive responses because we really understand what is "attractive" or "looks good" despite being told what to look for.

Those who see parts of someone's body and just find it weird, simply because we can't see it as anything else.

Those who simply identify under the aroace spectrum because they don't know why else nobody is attractive.

Those who see your mood before noticing if you look off.

Those who never tell you that you look weird with/without glasses/a hat/rings/etc. because they know they've just gotten used to how you usually look and know that change looks weird on everyone.

Those who are blunt about their thoughts because they don't wanna lie.

Those who identify weirdly because they see themselves as a boy or a girl or a human

There's more out there for sure but these are what I've thought of. I know that I, personally, usually correlate aesthetics with some sort of "aura", but it's iffy and I've only experienced actually aesthetic attraction a handful of times.

We aren't mentioned much but we're out here I swear and I know we experience things that many other queer identities do too.

So, I was wondering, is not experiencing a visceral “cute thing” emotion since childhood a sign of a-aestheticism? I also experience other signs. Just want to see if this is the right word for my experience. I literally don’t experience whatever it is people experience at the sight of something cute. I also can only appreciate visual beauty of say, a painting if I understand the level of craftsmanship and skill that got put into it.
