People always think I’m joking when I say I want to become a hag or old lady living in the woods. My icons are Madame Razz and Eda. I want floofy hair, I want a quaint cottage, I want to be slightly deranged, and just be all around iconic. My inspirations are there, I will get there one day.

I want/I wanna

I wanna live in a little two story stone cottage in the woods and have a little garden of spices, herbs and veggies and have a little family of cats that sometimes go outdoors but always return.

I wanna ride my bike to the town and seek some things I’ve grown, then ride somewhere to sketch people with my sketchbook and then ride back home to my partner who is making some stew for dinner, and hug them around the waist and here them laugh and tell me about how one of the cats caught a mouse in the house and it scared them half to death.

I want to curl up with a book near the stream by our little cottage and fall asleep in the son. Dip the tips of my fingers into the water and feel the fish bump into my fingers.

Go home and stay up late to see the fireflies buzzing around and laugh as the cats try to catch one. I want to fall asleep in my partners arms and breath in their woodsy spice scent, while the cats cuddle nearby.

I want to giggle at a dumb movie and hold hands and point at stars and make up constellation names. I want to stay stone still as they use theirs magnificent painting skills to do my portrait. I wanna rub paint on their nose as they laugh cause they’ve been focusing so hard on the painting for hours. Stay up late and watch Ghibli movies for hours.

I want to make up little ghost stories around our campfire when our friends come visit and make s’mores and have them hold me as we listen to some spooky stories.

I want to dress up as witches for Halloween and go to the nearby village for candy, even if we’re to old no one says no because the village is too small, and it’s people too kind to refuse anyone.

I want to be peace and love and full and free.

I’d Rather Be Painting but . . . . . .

Everywhere you look on Island there are sights that spark off an idea for a painting.

        Living in an old stone cottage has pros and sometimes cons, but . . . . .

The cottage needs to breathe or dampness creeps in and stays.

So what is getting in the way?

                        Stoves need fitting, walls, filing, brick work re-pointing.

There goes a week or two.
