Quick rhetorical question about the "it's just fiction" argument from someone not terribly involved with the discourse (though, admittedly, I used to be a pretty militant anti and am still fighting those biases).

Would you consider The Turner Diaries to be a piece of "fascist media"? If yes, how is saying that different than, for example, calling agegap comship that plays it for pure fetish fuel "pedophile bait"? If no, what makes a novel that glorifies and justifies the actions and ideals of a fascist movement non-fascist, beyond it simply being fictional?

(Quick note: when I say "pedophile bait" here, I refer to the sexual predilection of pedophilia, not any crime related to the sexual abuse or exploitation of children. I personally hold this distinction as necessary when talking about anything related to CSA.)

I see things marked as containing “wagyu tallow” sometimes and it makes me wonder if wagyu tallow actually tastes better than normal beef tallow? I was under the impression that the thing that made wagyu special was the amount of fat and how well marbled it is within the meat, not that the fat itself necessarily tastes better than average beef fat

Not for the ask meme, but imagine if WWX was born a week after JC instead of a week before. How the dynamics would change completely between JC and WWX. JC goes from didi to gege, JC gets all the middle child angst that he clearly wants

I can see it going either way- maybe Jiang Cheng just gets to fuss to his heart's content, but I think that age gap, small as it is, is doing some work for both of them in terms of soothing Jiang Cheng's feelings about Wei Wuxian's natural giftedness. His shidi beating him at everything might be a little bit worse, emotionally. The compensation of being able to be like Listen To Me I'm Older might make up for it, and it also might help tone down Wei Wuxian's protective streak/make his sense of duty and obligation more obvious to Jiang Cheng and Yanli, and that could help a lot. Yanli in particular I think misses some of the messier bits of Wei Wuxian's feelings because she is herself so devoted to her little brothers that it makes sense to her that Wei Wuxian would feel the same way.
