I walk through the streets at twilight to bare the soul in the inside,
My wings flung open and my halo crowned on my head in search of souls that have died,
Through crowded cafes and bustling restaurants to the cobber stone promenade,
Where all fairy tale promises are broken and sometimes made,
I see you seated at the quay's bench with your heart in your hand for it heaved its last breath,
The light I seek is you and it's warmth can be felt by the angel of death,
I crouch down in front of you and say the words, "Watch the garden of flowers as they bloom into colours that paint the life left within you,
We use the colours to paint our soul and find that the artist was God for what he knew of us was true,
I watch as you cross the rainbow bridge to green pastures that lead to the pair of new feet,
A wide warm smile stretches across your face and the colours blend with the scenery as you are forever erased when your last tears taste so sweet,
Darkness floods my vision and I am face to face with what remains,
A life raw and rich with experiences that breathe of age old wisdom that strikes the heart the same,
With a new chord played when one might fall in love once again,
I add this chord to my music sheet of lost last unspoken words,
So that you my friend can one day meet your little song bird,
Just as that winter's morning when you first heard her sing,
It warmed your spirits and to your knees did love bring,
Another dark night of the soul and a light did I see,
Retracting my shadow wings and my halo of trees,
I write in candlelight of what the humble heart of eternal youth and love does sing,
An endless fountain overflowing next to my cup of springs,
The moon is high while the tide is low and my light letter of feathers are candescent with the sun,
Signing off with the mount of saturn in the crispness of the morning's air in eden where love has once again claimed one and won,
I send my memories to a fractured soul in need of healing with a tear drop from my right eye that the air can only trace,
And breathe one last breath for it is grace to have lived an entire eternity in God's beautiful mortal embrace the body with a infinite number of lives and one face.
