[poet-tree-my-dear]

I love you like I love the ocean

The quiet tides hush my racing mind

And the sea brings me peace

It draws me in, even when it's cold,

Asking me to spread over my warmth.

It's calming

The push and the pull of the waves,

Rocking me into serenity

Not giving a care if I jump into

its salty waters unannounced

I can just be in its stillness

Floating amongst the whispered secrets of the birds and fish

And when it gets too rough

I can calmly sit at its shore, watching the tide

Feeling it come over my toes

And rushing away under my seat

Only to return moments later.

It's a constant, directed by the moon and winds

Natural forces that keep the balance

I love the ocean when I am away from it

Looking forward to when I can see it again

And leaving its waters forlorn, but happier than when I first arrived

Awaiting for the day, when I can be seaside for all time.

I have sounds in my eyes

A universe in my fist

I just need to open them and realise

I'm more than, as who I now, exist

I need to get up

Lift myself, I need to wake up

Hope for the best

I need to brush up

Work out

Dream, hustle, run!!

I need to reach the end of my capabilities

And jump off

Where do all these broken hearts go?

Do they wither away

Like a colorful rose

plucked away from his home

Or become sharp like a broken glass

That can tear your skin apart

Are they somewhere

Hiding from the world, healing?

Are they lost

In a permanent state of mourning?

Or have they stopped beating

Left in a cold wooden box

In an open graveyard

For others to see

As an emblem of tragic love

Or are they the wanderers

Sitting on an unknown grave

Crying for a stranger

For a broken heart knows

The pain of thousand deaths
