As its pride month I'm gonna remind yall of some stuff:

Being LGBTQ+ isn't just being gay, it's trans people, aromantic people and many others

Don't speak over queer POC voices while talking about issues they face, just because their experience doesn't match yours it doesn't give you the right to say it didn't happen

Please just be respectful of eachother, its supposed to be a month of supporting eachother not putting eachother down

So being aro is cool, there's nothing wrong with that. But I always thought that it was for other people, not for me. But as I sit here contemplating that in my 22 year of life I have never fallen hard for anyone outside of fictional characters, I think maybe? Maybe it is for me. Maybe I am. Because it's scary to think I'm not capable of love but I don't think that's it. I think my brain just knows I'll be okay without a live think that. I still love my friends and family just never anyone romantically.

And hey, that'd okay. Because if I believe other people can and do feel that way, then it's valid for me to be like that too. And that's a hard realization but once I figured it out, I feel a while lot better.

This month could go better if a lot of you would check your aphobia and spend 3-5 minutes trying to see if the pride post your rebloged that coincidentaly doesn’t have the ace flag or says somehting about “gay people kiss at pride get over it” aren’t excluding aces because they are an aphobe and doesn’t want us in the LGBT+ community or that only “LGBT aspecs are okay” or that they think that aspec people go to pride to complain about people kissing.

Aspec people are inherently of the LGBT+ community. We are queer

We may experience diferent struggles but that isn’t anything new in the community.

Gatekeeping is pure shit and you shouldn’t let it slide.

Also, stop making fun of any term or post related to platonic attraction or quasi/queerplatonic relationships. If it doesn’t apply to you you shouldn’t make fun of it because it’s probably a term for arospec people so shut the fuck up.
