Ace kinky minds are so hard to read sometimes. Do I look at sexy pretty pictures, imagine myself in all those scenarios? Yes. Do I just want to be in them right now,? Yes!

But am I also not at all affected, not even a slight bit horny? Also yes.

“Ace Dysphoria” is a real thing

and I now have proof that I’m not crazy from other blogs! To any other aces out there who ever think “hey ya I’d be totally cool losing some of these unnecessary parts but I’m confident that I’m not trans” you are valid. Whether it’s a passing thought, mild discomfort, or extremely upsetting sometimes, you aren’t the only one.

Not my analogy but I have no idea what reddit/quora/etc thread I first saw it on, but one of the few crumbs of ace dysphoria I did find off Tumblr had this lovely gem: The Barbie/Ken Doll appearance—all smooth down there, no bits.

I don't usually make this type of post but I have been getting a bunch of bots/art scammers that are starting to make me ery frustrated so this is sort of a psa for what to watch out for when you get these messages

1) how they start the conversation

This is kind of difficult because they start off being nice and ask how your day is going, but the key is that they are vague af about why they are texting you

2) if they ask you for your ocs do not give them your refs.

As someone who makes fanart of my friend's ocs, the biggest thing I do first ask them if it's ok to draw their ocs and that already tells them that I've seen their ocs and that I want to draw them. Giving your refs for a scammer when 1) they aren't specific about what oc that interests them and 2) didn't even look at your blog for 5 seconds about your oc is going to let them steal your art

3) the quality of their "art"

Keep this in mind, I am a big advocator for beginner artists especially in the digital media but there is a common trend that these scammers have in their portfolios

A) there more often than not is a traced character with a "preview" watermark

B) they're very generic, can easily be found off on Google

C) there are never any original art of their own ocs

4) they don't ask you to commission them, They expect you to.

This is pretty much their main intention, to make you give them money, and it's usually after they show u their profolio or asks about what your favorite characters are that they discuss about "making payments" that you haven't even talked about.

Tl:dr, art scammers that message you only want your money, block them

So ermm when I was younger I used to have this one online nickname "Ace" and used it on every website I go, and then that was way back before I figured out I was ace/asexual or atleast in the ace-spec. I realized this just a few hours ago and darn.. Is the young me a psychic? Is it just a coincidence? Who knows i guess

I need to know more from the old me smh I need to know if she had a psychic power or smth/hj
