15. Your favorite thing about being asexual       - My favorite thing is probably as simple as having an identity. Knowing that there’s a community and I’m not alone in my orientation. It’s been over 3 years since I had my eureka moment of “there’s a word for that!” but I’m still most enjoying the simple state of BEING. 

20. Character you see as asexual     - There are a lot of these, so off the top of my head, I would go with Pidge Gunderson from Voltron. 

25. If you could pick an animal to represent your asexuality, what would it be?      - Alright Nonny, this is a tough one. It got easier once I realized I wasn’t limited to animals in this world. So yeah, it’s a dragon. Able to live solitary lives or kidnap a pet human and fly off on adventures together.

7. What’s your favorite thing about yourself?  - ‘thing’ is a super vague term… I’m very grateful for my patience. I have a fuse (and will have a meltdown if it burns down) but generally that fuse is super long and soaked in something flame-retardant. I also seem to have a quick reset for my patience, that if I’m really frustrated with one person, I can walk away and be back to a clean slate with the next person I see. 

14. What are your dreams for the future?  - Well I’m right now in the process of getting all of the paperwork in so that I can start grad school soon! Aside from the traffic, I’m really liking the Seattle area; so I’d like to stay out here for the foreseeable future. 

18. How are you?  - A smidge stressed about the aforementioned grad school paperwork, but otherwise having a very good day. I’ve had lots of kitty cuddles from Spook, and that recharges spoons faster than anything else I know. 

20. What is your favorite thing about being ace?  - one of them at least is how I genuinely don’t care about whether or not I’m attractive. It seems like a lot of people get stressed about this, and I *know* there’s a ton of media pressure around it (the clothing and cosmetics industries) but I don’t have to care! Given that I have a work uniform, all I have to care about with appearance on a day-to-day basis is if I put my hair up and if my uniform is dirty or wrinkled.  - another is that spark of connection I can instantly feel when I see someone else wearing a black ring on their middle finger. I might not even say anything to them, but I’ll remember that 1% of the population is actually a whole lot of people like me. 70,000,000 or so

5. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?  - Wow, this doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that I’m reading through the Posterchildren short stories, does it? Some kind of teleportation would be pretty awesome tbh. Though I would try to use it in a way that doesn’t draw attention to myself.

10. What is your favorite show?  - I am terrible about having favorites. So right this second, it would probably be Yuri on Ice. But that’s because it has new eps every week. Give it a few months and I’ll probably be back on Ladybug, or I’ll have moved on to something new that I haven’t even heard of yet. 

15. What’s your favorite food/drink?  - PASTA. Give me all the pasta. Spaghetti, ravioli, goulash, the more the better. Drink? Probably milk, although I have to stay away from it when my allergies are flaring up. 

20. What is your favorite thing about being ace?  - Well given the origin of this ask, I’d probably better say it’s my QP XD

so I sorta told myself this was gonna be one of the topics I don't touch on but I do have something that needs to be said. yes, het aces are still hetero just like gay aces are still gay, bi aces are still bi, pan or poly aces are still pan or poly, ect. but I think the problem with just calling them het and that only is it doesn't touch on the ace part? like, for example, I'm panromantic asexual. so like, if someone would just call me pan and never mention that I'm asexual I might be a little upset. I'm not saying I'm not pan, im saying that I'm pan and ace and both are important parts of me that should be mentioned. now of course this isn't the case with everyone, I know tons of asexuals who prefer to go by just their romantic orientation or who don't go by their romantic orientation at all. however a lot of times asexuals and people on the ace spectrum prefer to use both, because being asexual is an important part of our identity! really what I'm trying to say here is, if you're gonna be talking abt het aces not being able to reclaim the q slur or something make sure you don't just brush it off that they're only hetero. yes they're het, but they're also ace and that might be important to mention so they don't feel like their sexuality is being left out. if I said anything wrong or didn't add something I should have, please tell me! I'm sorta just rambling here.
