Babies don't misbehave, they just behave. There's no such thing as a baby being "bad" because they don't understand cause and effect at first and have no concept of others feelings for a while after they do learn that.

A baby is never doing something to upset you. They don't act up to piss you off. They act in the only way they know how, and yes, sometimes the behaviour they're drawn to isn't great! That's why you guide them and comfort.

It's okay to be mad, but you need to remind yourself of this or you'll become resentful. Babies don't misbehave.

Speaking up like this is a thing that actually works. I know, because I've tried it, and it has led not only to people stopping this behavior, but also to them changing their views.

And if they don't stop? If they make no efforts to change, or if they purposely keep doing it just to annoy you? Then it might be a sign to stop hanging out with them. People who are that persistently disrespectful are not safe to be around.

I SERIOUSLY feel that tumblrs built in transfer eating machine has been getting waaaaaaaayyyyy hungrier recently.... liek ive literally been on this acc for a week and had at least 15 duff mutuals get termed in that time. i refresh my dash and see peoples accounts go down in front of my eyes. i keep being like oh jeez I forgot to follow (mutual) on this blog? and it turns out that, no, she just got banned the second I turned my back. im literally seeing blogs get taken down that havent physically been up long enough to have posibly post anything objectionable. im seeing 'reblog to help me find my mutuals' posts going around where the op has already been nuked again. like come on"

obviously there's a lot of serious ethical reasons fatphobia sucks but also it's so annoying that I can't just say "I'm huge" and have it be percieved as a neutral statement rather than self-deprecating. Like oh my god no, I DON'T mean "It's a shame I'm not smaller," what I mean is "I can throw well over 200lbs at someone anytime I want by simply jumping or flopping over, and many people cannot lift 200lbs so they couldn't even stop me"
