Wow... So this is what it feels like to read a YA book and understand what the main character is going through? I’m still struggling with this, but at this point I feel pretty confident in saying that I belong to the Ace spectrum. Still dont’t know where exactly, but that’s ok. 

I stumbled into “Loveless” by chance, and I immediately knew that I wanted to read it. The plot is rather simple, it follows Georgia during her first year at University, while she tries to figure out her sexuality and work out her relationship with her best friends. At times it’s almost too simple, a little bit idealized. But that’s ok. It’s the perfect comfort cozy wholsome read that I needed

I hope I can find someone who loves me for me even tho I’m a sex-neutral Graysexual person who shows no signs of wanting to want to have sex. My last relationship ended b/c my ex-bf and I were sexually incompatible (he’s allosexual; we are still friends tho). However, since the dating pool where I live is nonexistant, that probably won’t happen. So, I’m just stay single forever & ‘date’ fictional characters.

I’m sure you can! Try not to let your last relationship ruin the thought of finding someone again (though I’m glad you’re still friends). If you want a relationship, it’s certainly possible. :) There are a lot of success stories of mixed relationships (allo/ace) shared on AVEN. 

Perhaps you could check out some Ace Meetups in your area or nearby? (There’s a forum for them on AVEN, too.) Meeting more people that can relate to you might lead to friendships and maybe more! :) There’s also ace dating sites like AceBook, Asexual Cupid, Asexualitic. In the mean time…nothing wrong with dating fictional characters. ;) ♥ I wish you the best. There IS hope!

okay but the best part of the whole chris speaking out against facebook thing so far is them trying to drag dustin in and dustin popping up on twitter and screaming: NO NO NO! I WILL NOT BE PULLED INTO THIS.

Like the boy just wanted to sit by and call Eduardo a tax evader not have to talk about splitting up facebook.

Are there any dating sites out there that you guys could recommend that aren't Acebook? That site was okay but I met some not-great people on there that I'd rather avoid (and also it feels like the community on there is quite small?) (though I suppose that comes with the territory from being the 1%, but still)

Sorry, I tried looking up asexual specific dating sites, but they all looked pretty shady….

There is a blog called @asexualsluts, where you can post your own information and message other aspec folk via tumblr. 

I’ve also seen that OkCupid now has the option to choose “Asexual” and/or “Demisexual”. You can also make it so that straight people can’t see your profile. 

Does anyone else know any good asexual dating sites?

I met a girl on Acebook and she is so cool.

She works at a library and likes Welcome to Night Vale.

She lives in northern California, but she’s going to be visiting family in Orange County next week and we are going to meet in person.

We are really hitting it off and for once I feel comfortable.
