I hope you don't mind but I wanted to ask something regarding Inquisition and you know a lot aah. I've never played as a mage, or templar, so I was wondering, does red lyrium affect them in any way?? I know Dorian and Vivienne comments on it but I don't know about the inquisitor, hearing stuff or losing health would be cool. Also, ah personal question maybe, do you play on casual or nightmare or the between??
Not in actual gameplay, no. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL AS FUCK if they added little details here and there about red lyrium, since it seemed like a huge issue but it was massively downplayed in the game. Like what you’ve said, templar inquisitors ‘hearing’ the lyrium would have been really neat or at least physically seeing the effects it has on some of the companions would have made it seem a lot more important.
However, if certain companions were effected by it, it would have really upset some players. People might feel forced not to take certain companions to certain places (like the Emprise), which would feel very restrictive and feel like dev-favoritism.
I mostly play on casual because i just want to play the game, see the characters, and play my Inquisitors various ways, but I have a few playthroughs dedicated to being “hardcore” (which, lbr, I still die a lot… like a lot a lot). I don’t like using tactical camera (I’ve used it maybe twice in DAI and none in DA2) and higher difficulties are nearly impossible without it.
