Static noises for a moment before video transmission fully begins. An Orion Pax and a D-16 are on screen.
Orion: Hey there! We're from the TFO actorverse, heard about this and wanted to say hello to the other universes out there!
D-16: It's pretty cool to interact with others out there... though that 'bayverse' scares me...
Orion: How goes things? Are there any other actor universes out there? Oh, I have so many questions-
D-16: Orion, please...
B-127 then slowly comes on screen, blocking the other two from view as they argue a little. He grins like an idiot and waves enthusiastically. The transmission then just cuts off there by accident.
Awww, we love actorverse universes! There are a handful of them here and it’s quite fun!
Bayverse Actorverse Barricade and Bumblebee are actually best friends and poor Optimus has to do everything he can to assure people he’s not that violent.
Sasuke nuzzled deep into the musky warm sweetness that was his lover’s scent as they cuddled on his couch. Naruto returned the favor by burying his face into Sasuke’s long straight dark hair and laid a kiss there, smelling deeply. There, Sasuke had a scent that was somewhere between spicy and astringent. “You smell nice, baby,” Naruto cooed in a way that made Sasuke roll his eyes and ignore his endearing idiocy for the television. They were watching some episodes of the first show they had ever performed in together, Naruto. It had been a while since they had done that.
They had reached a climactic trio of episodes that would ultimately lead to Sasuke’s hiatus in the show. Sasuke thought back on how worried he was back then. He genuinely believed that the hiatus would ruin any chance he had at Naruto and yet, there he was smooching all over his head and humming contently with him in his arms. He’d really been worried for nothing, but back then, it felt like everything to him.
“You did your own stunts for these episodes,” Naruto whispered, watching their younger selves clashing on the screen. His lips curled playfully. “Were you trying to impress me?”
Sasuke blushed deeply. Naruto had him pegged perfectly. “I-”
“You were, weren't you!”
Sasuke kept watching– silently. His thoughts were loud though. He and Naruto both knew that putting his body at risk wasn’t a part of Sasuke’s normal method. Sasuke had taken a page out of both Naruto and his character’s book in order to try to convey his feelings during the many shoots that encompassed the fight at The Valley of the End.
“Well, it worked,” Naruto admitted.
Sasuke jolted and looked at Naruto with surprise. “It did?” He asked.
Naruto’s face grinned at him; he’d aged quite a bit since those shoots, but he was still very handsome to Sasuke even with his thinning blond hair. “Yeah, it did! You were awesome! I’d never seen someone take my method so seriously before! I kept thinking about it all the time!” He exclaimed.
Sasuke felt his heart throb. He was pulled back suddenly to his teenage days when all he wanted was his chance at Naruto. He’d been so naive back then– just like his character and for once, Sasuke felt like the idiot.
Then he remembered, he had Naruto– all of Naruto. He paused the show and threw himself on top of his dumbfounded lover. Their lips crashed into one another, and Naruto moaned into Sasuke’s mouth eagerly.
When he pulled away, Naruto was breathless, but not breathless enough. “Choke me,” he whispered and waited impatiently for his lover to oblige. When he wasn’t fast enough, he begged, “pleeeeease!” sending chills up Sasuke’s spine.
Sasuke couldn’t deny him after that. He wrapped his smaller hands around Naruto’s thick neck and squeezed; it was a familiar feeling by now; they’d been together for over a decade. “You’re such a dirty idiot,” he degraded, knowing it would only excite Naruto more.
It worked. Naruto bucked up at him predictably. The rest of the episode would have to wait. They wanted each other, now.
I've always loved actorverse aus, I think they're just top tier. But actorverse with toons that retain toon logic off set in vein of who framen roger rabbit? Magnificent. Ultimate potential. I need it.
Sasuke watched from off camera as his blond colleague flew through the air, crashing into the brick wall of the set. The camera panned down following him as he hit the ground hard. Sasuke winced. He never understood why Naruto insisted on doing his own stunts and to such an extreme.
A volley of shadow clones rushed back across the set and several cameras captured them getting poofed by the movie’s main villain, Doctor Shinnou. The bombardment came to an abrupt end, when the real Naruto took a terribly painful looking gut punch that would have made him lose his lunch had he had any that afternoon. A quick elbow made his jaw hit the ground and a kick sent him back across the set into a destructible brick set piece. All the while, he was being taunted.
Naruto was already beginning to look ragged. He held himself where it hurt as he forced himself up. His signature orange and black jumpsuit was scuffed up and frayed in more than a few places.
Nevertheless, he continued the take, creating another large group of shadow clones that were blasted away by the villain. Through the smoke, Naruto charged at a camera before pouncing on Shinnou. He feigned smashing the metal plate of his headband against his opponent’s head and then began a choreographed flurry of stage punches that culminated in a rasengan aimed at the ground. Sasuke cracked a smile. He was always impressed by how much energy Naruto brought to a scene even when he was the only one actually hurting.
“Cut!” Called the director. “Great job Uzumaki! Shinnou, keep up the good work!”
Naruto got up off of his coworker and rubbed at the back of his head, grinning. “Hey are you alright? I think I might’a touched you with my headband back there.”
“Are you kidding?” Asked the deep voice of Shinnou. He was a behemoth of a man with a wild mane of dark brown hair and a heart of gold outside of movies. “You’re the one I should be asking that. You sure you wanna keep taking these fists?”
“I can handle it! You ready for more?”
“I suppose if you’re still doing alright…” Shinnou hesitantly agreed.
Filming started again and soon Naruto’s shadow clone was bent over a giant stone throne. Shinnou approached him, grabbing him by his disheveled blond locks, but the real Naruto jumped up from behind him. Still off camera, Sasuke knew what was coming next, but it didn’t stop him from flinching when Naruto took a knee to his already sore stomach that was so powerful it lifted him about three meters into the air. Then, he was kicked down into his clone and his body went limp from the abuse.
For a moment, everyone froze. It was a scary few moments before finally, Naruto pushed himself up a bit. “Did we get the shot?” He asked. The director nodded. “Then, let’s keep goin’!”
“Tch idiot,” Sasuke whispered to himself. Naruto had a way of making everyone care about him, but unlike the new cast for the movie, Sasuke had been working with Naruto for years. They’d also been dating for a little over a year now. The loser had a way of making him worry.
Sasuke watched him diligently as he charged into battle again only to be flung across the set again and again. After a couple more shots, Naruto was bruised and bleeding from the lip. Shinnou tried to suggest a break, but Naruto stubbornly insisted that the most genuine act would come from his pain. In the end, the director agreed; this was not something new for Naruto.
In the next poignant scene, Naruto was talked down to by Shinnou who had to mask his remorse behind an evil facade. Naruto landed a stage punch to his right cheek with a left hook. His hand was then captured by the mad doctor. While Naruto struggled fruitlessly to escape, he was enthralled by Shinnou’s wicked degradation. He truly was a great actor.
Then, Naruto took some more physical abuse. The blood from his lip began to color the set. He was flung again by yet another explosion of fists from Shinnou and when he hit the ground wrong, he acquired a limp, but not even that would stop him. He kept up his act, performing his inspirational lines without an inkling of hesitation and was thrown twice more.
His damsel in distress, Amaru, cried out for him, though it was much more genuine than she was expecting. Naruto had that effect on people. He wasn’t afraid to surprise his associates with his method acting. Everything Naruto did was real, so when he jumped up and charged in for more mistreatment, he was sent flying into her arms. Her tears were also real.
Naruto ad-libbed the next scene where he pitched his fierce resolve to fight for her. Amaru’s tears had moved him, so he moved her right back. He too had a heart of gold. He promised to take all her pain on himself, and she believed him, but the scene called for her to keep him from doing such by turning a scalpel on herself. She prepared to do so and Naruto who was supposed to just knock it from her hand did what he did best. He surprised everyone.
A scalpel to the arm was not the worst pain Naruto had taken on camera, but it certainly did serve to hook in the audience. His director knew by now to just roll with Naruto’s shenanigans, but poor Amaru struggled to choke out her lines even after she was prompted twice. Her performance was authentic though which made Naruto’s dramatic comeback all the more gratifying.
A revitalized Naruto and a pack of his shadow clones began another choreographed fight routine with Shinnou. He finally got to give the evil doctor a taste of his own medicine and everyone watching felt it. Sasuke was particularly impressed at how Naruto could bounce back so easily from just a few passionate words. He was sure everyone in the room could feel his boyfriend’s fire, but it was about time he cooled Naruto down.
Naruto formed a rasengan in his right hand, but Sasuke’s chidori senbon stopped Naruto from having his hero moment. The director cut the scene there and Sasuke forced Naruto to take a break. He was about the only one that could.
“You’re crazy. You know that?” The completely spotless actor chastised his battered comrade. “Why do you have to insist on this self-destructive method acting?”
Naruto smiled a big bright smile and rubbed at his sore neck. “Y’know I can’t help myself Sasuke. When I see talent like that, I just have to give it my all!” He explained. “Besides, did you see that guy? He’s huge! I really wanted to see what he could do if he went all out too!”
The normally stoic Sasuke shook his head at Naruto’s masochistic tendencies. “Idiot. You’ll get yourself killed someday.”
“You think it’ll be on camera?” Naruto joked.
Sasuke punched him swiftly in the arm. “Don’t talk like that,” he warned.
Naruto held in a scream. Everything hurt more off camera. “Mnnngh okay okay sorryyyy. I just really love my job y'know?”
“And now, you’re taking a break from your job.” Naruto pouted and Sasuke sighed, “you want to go get some ramen?”
Naruto’s eyes sparkled. His love for ramen transcended his character and Sasuke knew it well. “Uh yeah!” Naruto said matter of factly, taking hold of Sasuke’s hands and pulling him as if to hurry him along. “Wait!” He spun Sasuke around and slammed himself against a wall with Sasuke over top of him. “Can we go to your place after?”
“Naruto?”
The blond was blushing. “To tell you the truth. That guy got me a little riled up back there. I want to feel what happens when you go all out too,” he clarified, moving Sasuke’s hands up to his throat.
Sasuke’s eyes narrowed on the glutton for punishment he called his boyfriend. “Seriously? Naruto you-”
Naruto’s voice deepened to a husky suggestive tone, “I want You to beat me, Sasuke.”
“You’re supposed to be taking a break.”
“Oh, I’ll sleep reeeeal good after. No worries!” Naruto reassured, beaming. “But first, ramen!” He ran off ahead of Sasuke, leaving him stunned and regrettably, wanting.
“It’s just for a scene,” Sasuke told himself as he lay in his plush bed surrounded by many pillows. “We’re almost done with this movie.” He clutched one tightly with his arms and legs, imagining it as the object of his current obsession, Naruto Uzumaki. “We’ll never see her again.” He thought, but there was a burning jealousy seething inside him.
Yukie Fujikaze was a beautiful dark-haired woman with skin like porcelain. She was also a talented actress– one that many in Sasuke’s profession looked up to. This included his long-time coworker, Naruto, who for the sake of a bit, had taken a nap on set after being patched up from his stunts. While he snored away, she approached him, kissing his left cheek gently for a photo.
Naruto would have loved to have been awake for it. That idea only made Sasuke’s bitter resentment grow deeper. This wasn’t the first time he’d felt this way though.
After years of working with the dimwitted goofball that Naruto was, Sasuke had grown inexplicably yet undeniably attached. He didn’t understand why, but whenever anyone strayed too close to his orange glowing ball of sunshine, he despised it. Naruto was his–only his. Sasuke had it bad for the little idiot.
He couldn’t tell him that though. They were just kids and Naruto was a guy like him. Not only that, but Naruto very obviously liked girls.
This was only made more obvious by how Naruto reacted to the candid photo– blushing like a schoolgirl at the idea of being kissed in such an unflattering state. Sasuke didn’t think of it as unflattering though. He considered the image of his beaten blond drooling and snoring away to be quite endearing. The only unflattering part was that stranger kissing him.
If only it could have been him. He would have kissed him better. He would have sat in bed with him afterwards and held his hand. They would have joked around and laughed together.
Sasuke thought back to the early days of shooting with Naruto. They were both talented in their own right, but they were strangers to each other then. He remembered when the idea for them to kiss on camera was pitched. Naruto was super excited. “Such a cool idea, right?” Naruto asked him, getting far too close. “I mean, what other rivals get to kiss, y’know?”
Sasuke gave in to Naruto’s ecstatic passion that day. The kiss was brief, harsh, and not very pleasant, but it awoke something in Sasuke. His character may have wanted to surpass Naruto, but he, simply wanted him. He just didn’t know how to say it.
So he didn’t. He just let his desire embitter him. He kept on wanting Naruto and hating anyone who got close, but he worried now that he’d lost his chance. Sasuke, the character, would be going on hiatus soon. It was what the plot of the show called for, but Sasuke, the actor, feared that he would be forgotten by his friend. They spent plenty of time together outside of work so that wasn’t the problem. Something else was bugging him. “What if he meets someone else?” He thought, clutching the pillow even tighter and shoving his worry flushed pale face into it in a way that ruffled his already disheveled midnight blue hair.
