I don't understand DND players who act like they're trying to win something.

Like yeah you could use your extensive knowledge of the game to build a ridiculously overpowered character that's technically the same level as everyone else but can do twice as much, and yeah im new to DMing so I'm probably going to have trouble adjusting skill checks and challanges for your character specifically,

so yeah your character is super powerful and can kill everything in two hits and every time I try to present a problem you can solve it without actually dealing with it because you have super specific skill or magic item #3 that makes this entire encounter redundant -

But like dude what's the point of even playing then? You're not winning anything you're just ruining the game for the other players and frustrating the DM like if you just want to blow shit up and be invincible play video games on easy mode or something
