A work that didn’t get enough attention: This Indis and Miriel ficlet I wrote for FLW20 is currently at the bottom of the list for my Silm works sorted by hits. It’s short and sweet, about the two ladies on the Great Journey!

A work I loved to create: I mean, the Fake Dating AU. I’m working on Finno’s POV now and it is just such a joy to write!

Findekáno wrapped his arms around his dearest friend, the one who held his heart and didn’t know it, and kissed him again, and again, and again, until it grew far too late and Russandol pulled him into his bed and held him so tight Findekáno could almost believed he loved him.

He fell asleep easily, that night, safe in the arms of his beloved, desperately trying not to remember that none of this was real.

Since it’s not Thursday anymore I feel weird tagging people...so I guess I won’t. If I get tagged next week I’ll try to be quicker to the draw!

I’m gonna sneak in a few deets from my 1920s au also because I have a problem

Glorfindel: Chaotic bisexual, most stylish dude in town, Idril’s second cousin via their Vanyarin mothers. His dad died on the Helcaraxe; his mother spent most of his childhood grieving and was not always the most reliable mom. Bonus 1920s headcanon: borrows Idril’s lipstick on the regular and rocks it.

Ecthelion: In charge of city plumbing, unbearable hipster, snarky. His father also died when he was fairly young, and his mother is an artist-she does all the official portraits of the royal family and such. Bonus 1920s headcanon: plays in a jazz quartet

Salgant: Foodie, perfectly capable of being a cinnamon roll when necessary. Surprisingly good babysitter. Constantly torn between being Maeglin’s little buddy and Tuor’s Food Bro. Bonus 1920s headcanon: unironically says “youse guys”

Rog: Was previously a captive in Angband, but busted out and fucked shit up. Hella temper but also a very chill guy most of the time. Very protective towards Idril and Earendil. Bonus 1920s headcanon: was a POW in Germany during WWI

Egalmoth: Glittery bastard. Is actually fairly quiet and calm most of the time; lets the glitter do the talking for him. He’s the person Tuor always gestures to when he’s complaining about how everyone in Gondolin is too rich for their own good. Bonus 1920s headcanon: invented a cocktail called “the rainbow” that involves 8 different kinds of alcohol and is inconceivably dangerous

Duilin: Only one of the lords to have a kid after the Nirnaeth (and I actually wrote a fic about his lil daughter hanging out with Tuor but I forgot where it is). One of those guys who can do really hard math problems in his head with no trouble. Bonus 1920s headcanon: had a bit part in a Charlie Chaplin movie
