I cannot wait to begin editing this week!! @helenalwrites is presenting the cover for “A Darkness Awakens (Elements of Ilysia: Volume One)” created for me by @carrielefey316 of Le Fey Designs. The lovely Jessica Truscott @faestock is the stock artist and model. I am absolutely in love with this cover and believe that it gives the perfect introduction to the imagery of this series. The model is portraying the first Empress, Víkatréa I, who sent her forces to attack King Henry the Great and his government nearly a millennia before the story begins. The Empress had been Queen of the Dark Fae before she acted on her ambitions to rule all of Ilysia. It is important to know that Fae are not immortal so Empress Léla II is Empress Víkatréa’s great-great-great granddaughter. This first novel in my Elements of Ilysia fantasy series is my debut novel in the genre and my first solo written novel.
