Today went to @sistinebeauty to get my nails done. I go every 3/4 weeks and every time I go I get shellac because it lasts the longest, doesn’t chip & #addedbonus it makes the nails stronger. I spent the better part of an hour at the grocery store this morning, a great #Valentines "treat" indeed. I know better... I had little choice. Trying to remain stoic as I avoided the Valentines themed candy aisle covered in pink and red heart-shaped candy and bears (bears are not... pink and red...by the way 😒) only to be hit with a wall of fragrance reminiscent of years far gone by. 😝 I'm upset partially cuz I'm left out from any real festivities surrounding this nauseating overused cliche again this year (5 years running now) but mostly because my sensitive nose couldn't handle the pungent stink. #AddedBonus I come home after an #exhausting and #emotional treck determined to clear clutter, make room and organize the 15 cubic foot fridge I have in order to put the food away. It started out relatively uneventful but then... A sudden and very unwelcome wall of overwhelming and extraordinarily irrational emotion hits as I pull out one open jar of mayonnaise, then another... And finally, I see a third hidden way in the back. I suppose it would've been slightly less than okay if at the very least one of them was near empty, but all three were brand new. The only light in that shade? One of them was unopened. Partial clarity restored in a momentary lapse of mental sanity. #GriefHitsInStrangeWays.
