♡˖◛⁺  𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝:  hi can i know what made taehyung and jungkook problematic? as far as i know every k-industry fc has been very controversial or acted in ways that could be considered problematic but not bc of that all of them have been banned in other rps. is it because they are bts? i am asking since i want to understand what happened because it is the first time i see them being banned.

good afternoon, lovely. in regard to yesterday’s post concerning jeong jungkook and kim taehyung as faceclaims, the reason why we requested those members to change their faceclaim is because of a list updated by the tumblr roleplay community. our guidelines include a list in which names faceclaims that should not be used in the roleplay community due to problematic circumstances. bts is specifically named due to “racism, sexism, nazi inspired clothing.” 

an anonymous individual came to us expressing discomfort for member using bts faceclaims, especially when we, the admins, stated we would not accept faceclaims included in that list. us accepting those faceclaims regardless of their mention on the list shows our hypocrisy as well as lack of attentiveness. thus, we decided to ask the members to not use the faceclaim out of respect as well as to follow through with our own guidelines. 

in no way did we ever ban bts faceclaims solely “because they are bts.” we are not those type of admins nor people. as our post from yesterday explained, the decision was made based off of the list in our guideline as well as due to an anonymous message expressing concern. 

we are aware that this can be a difficult situation to manage due to a plethora of korean idols being very controversial, however, that is why our guidelines state “There are many problematic kpop idols, so please consider your faceclaim wisely. We want to ensure a safe environment, so if your faceclaim is overly problematic, it’s best to not use them.” this rule has been in our guidelines since the initial attempt of opening back in september of last year. this is not a new rule. we encourage every applicant to be mindful of the faceclaim they use as we do not wish to make anyone uncomfortable in our group. 

if anyone ever comes forward expressing discomfort about a particular faceclaim in the group to admin coco and i, it is our responsibility to respect their feelings and concerns. we will approach the person and request a faceclaim change if possible. this is the way we believe will be best in order to ensure a safe community as well as to not portray hypocrisy. we are aware that this is challenging, but it’s a step we have to take in order to make everyone feel welcomed. 

we hope that all of this makes sense, but if you have any further questions, please do come talk to us as we would be more than willing to further discuss this topic. all in all, bts was not banned just because they are bts. bts was included in the original list of problematic faceclaims, and we have to respect that list. we also respect the anonymous individual who came forward and expressed concern.

while admin coco and i are planning behind the scene for this group, we came across a question we want to hear everyone’s thoughts on. should we consider accepting second characters right away? would that be okay with everyone, or should we stick to only one character per mun for now? let us know your thoughts! if we allow two, we can open sooner (perhaps).  ♡
