Now if someone told you five hours ago that you'd be kidnapped by a crazy vampire, you would have laughed and called the police.
But seeing the position you were in right now, you knew impossibilities were possible.
You were slung over the ‘young’ girls back as she ranted about her day. She spoke about some guy that tasted funny, about her two fathers, and… anything really. She didn’t shut up.
You, five hours ago, were running from the police after being seen stealing a loaf of bread. You had almost escaped them when you suddenly bumped into your future captor.
She was surprised, tilting her head in confusion. But as soon as the girl caught sight of the police, she picked you up and sped out of there with inhumane speed.
In the hour you were kidnapped, you practically knew all about the young girl's life. It was safe to say you thought she was insane.
Claudia—which was your captors name—was a strange one. Whenever she spoke, you swore her lips weren’t moving. Her posture was perfect as well as her features. Eyes a tad crazy looking with odd colours and teeth so white it was blinding.
You knew she wasn’t human. Well…you did just witness her inhumane speed so that played a part in your assumption. You just didn’t know what creature she was.
“You think too much.”
You snapped out of your thoughts. You tried to look at her but realised you were facing her back-side.
“And you speak too much.” You snapped, growing tired of the position you were in. “I would be thankful for your saviour act if you let me down.”
Claudia made a thinking face before shaking her head, “I don’t think so. You saw me use my speed.”
“I won’t tell anyone I promise!”
“Sorry. It’s not happening.”
You groaned, frustration clear on your face. You began to wiggle out her hold but boy was her grip tight. You could feel bruises growing.
“Then what will you do with me?” You asked. The girl was clearly not letting you go anytime soon so you settled for a chat. “Kill me?”
“What? Of course not. I mean you do smell absolutely delicious but…I’ve grown to like you.”
‘Is she fucking insane?’
“Hey! Don’t call me that!” Claudia let you down from her shoulders but her hands were now gripping your shoulders.
You scoffed before pausing. ‘I did not say anything?’ You stared at the girl, blinking dumbly.
“Eh?”
“Eh?” she mocked. “You’re like an annoying little brother.”
“Pretty sure I’m older than you.”
Claudia giggled, “mhm sure you are.”
She laughed at her own ‘joke’ whilst you appeared confused. You didn’t understand what was so funny about what you said.
You then watched as Claudia came to a realisation, her eyes lightening up.
“Brother…brother!” She cheered out, as if she solved a mystery. “That’s what’ll make my daddies stop arguing! A new family member will do just the trick!”
You choked on your saliva. “What?! You can’t just appoint me as your brother to mediate your parent’s relationship!”
“Yes I can! That’s why they created me!”
“Christ sake, your parents are insane!”
“Take that back!”
“No way!” The two continued to bicker, quite loudly as bystanders began staring at their public dispute, whispering to themselves before disappearing into the night.
But there was no chance of you winning the argument, as Claudia activated her super strength and speed once more and ran through New Orleans.
“Stop! It’s making me sick!” You gagged, clutching onto Claudia like your life was on the line.
The girl didn’t answer but her lips twitched just for a second.
Soon they stopped in front of a mansion, it was bigger than all the houses you had ever seen. You gasped out a tiny ‘woah’ at the sight.
In the corner of your eyes, you saw Claudia smirk with pride.
“Welcome home, Brother.” Claudia hummed creepily, you let out a nervous chuckle. You looked around the dark area, trying to find a way out.
But it seemed the girl could detect something as she suddenly locked their arms together.
She sang “don’t try to escape!” Before marching into the house. You tried to pull away but there was no use, Claudia’s strength was too much for you.
As they entered, the interior design was gorgeous. You stared at the furniture, clean with no speck of dust. The same could be said about every part of the home.
Almost too clean.
“Claudia!” A voice called out angrily, you flinched as two figures suddenly appeared right in front of the two of you . “Why did you go out hunting yourself! You know it’s dangerous! You are only a..”
The blond man trailed off as he caught sight of you. His eyes twitched. The other man besides him was staring into your soul before turning to Claudia.
Claudia could only smile innocently, giggling to herself as she and the man were staring at each other.
“You brought…a human teenager into this home?” The blond asked, you could see anger creeping onto his facial expression.
The girl nodded enthusiastically, “Yes! He is my brother which means he’s your son now.”
That was all it took before the blond man practically exploded, he yelled out profanities whilst throwing things around the house. You thought he acted like a toddler which only made the angry man yell louder.
You thought you had accidentally said that out loud.
“You didn’t.” You turned to the other man, he seemed to be staring…a lot.
The man approached you slowly, ignoring Claudia and the blond’s arguing, he set a hand on your shoulder.
“You must be in shock.”
“Oh no I’m fine. I’ve just been kidnapped and apparently adopted all in one night.” The man chuckles at your sarcasm, he seems to be in deep thought for a little while.
“I am Louis and this is Lestat.” He paused thinking over his words before softly smiling, “welcome home.”
