As with any other years, I’ve spent much of my visiting hours within the exhibition halls, while only sneaked outside for some cosplay shots.
Pretty much a basic of any ACG conventions, cosplayers flocked the open area just one floor below the halls, setting up private photog booths and mingling amongst themselves. =w=
Continuing on from previous post focused upon Anime Festival Asia 2015, let’s feast our eyes upon various visually stunning displays at various booths all around the exhibition halls.
Do note that the following piccies are not as neatly arranged as the previous post, and may ended up randomly placed outta similar groups (Same anime/same booth)… XDc
Day 2 over. Post con syndrome now hahaha. Thanks @asdcvbtuym for partnering me. Great to see everyone see you next time Singapore #afasg #afa15 #afa #singapore #cosplay #sf4 #streetfighter4 #sakura #selfie
Today @polarishyn and I went to Anime Festival Asia 2015 (Singapore)! She wanted to go try the Love Live parfait shaved ice and I went because why not. Pictures incoming!
There were plenty of stuff selling, but I didn’t buy much. I did spot a pretty nice Utapri notebook though!
^ The inside of the notebook. I don’t think I would ever bear to use it!
Also saw this nice huge Shana promotional poster. I was a little surprised to see it because Shana’s been finished for what, 4 years? But as a Shana fan this makes me happy ^^
Some other posters, featuring One Punch Man and Utapri:
There was also this Junon Superboy Contest thingy. Not quite sure what it is, but seems like some sort of beauty contest for young guys. I got a pamphlet and goddamn I’m older than most of them.
But I brought this up because along the panels of the booth, I SPOTTED MAMO-CHAN!
^ How many people do you recognise? AND FIND MAMO-CHAN!
There were also A LOT of cosplayers! Many Love Live! ones (especially the marriage/wedding dress? series), but there were also Hatsune Miku, Free!, Owari no Seraph, Naruto, Vampire Knight, Akatsuki no Yona (only Yona though, no signs of the dragons unfortunately), KanColle, Touken Ranbu etc etc etc.
^ try spotting the number of fandoms here!
There were some amazing cosplay. I remember this very nice Cloud (Final Fantasy) cosplay. Didn’t get a picture, but I’m pretty sure the cosplayer was KANAME. Also spotted someone in a Roxas (Kingdom Hearts) cosplay, which made me really happy since he’s my favourite KH character!
But really, the most surprising cosplay was that someone cosplayed Mikaze Ai, from Utapri 4th Stage.
Let me repeat that for you. Someone cosplayed Mikaze Ai, from UTAPRI 4TH STAGE.
I mean this:
(^ that’s obviously the actual Aoi Shouta, from Utapri 4th stage)
Unfortunately the person moved too fast and I didn’t get to ask for a shot... But it was really a surprise to see someone cosplay Utapri. And not just Utapri, but from the LIVE STAGE. Like, that’s a pretty obscure cosplay that maybe only a handful will get. But from what I could see, the person got the details down, including that weird half tutu thing that Shoutan was wearing, along with Ai’s mint green hair.
Under cut are some things I bought in the fair!
So someone made a pretty nice Zeno sticker and since I am a Zeno fangirl, I bought it:
Cute, isn’t it?
I also bought this nice Mikaze Ai badge like the Utapri trash I am. (Before anyone asks, Tokiya was sold out because he’s just that incredibly popular.)
This shop also sold Be My Princess items. I wanted to buy a Roberto keychain, but the shopkeeper said preorder only. Maybe I’ll check out the website later, because it really was nice, and you don’t see many BMP items in anime conventions.
Also the Tokyo Girls Style gave out some freebies:
They included some cleansing lotion for wiping off makeup (perfect for cosplayers, I reckon), tissues, and hair oil sample. Nothing much, but hey, free is free.
That’s about it! I didn’t go for the concert or stage event because no one I particularly cared about came this year... Let’s see next year! I’m still holding out hope that Mamo will attend one year
