i feel like we need to talk about scar's betrayal in 3rd life more

I will never shut up about how weird it was when julian sexualised alison breastfeeding a baby. alison. her baby.

it went against everything we’d come to know and expect from julian. i had to pause because of the absurdity of it. julian has not once shown a sexual interest in alison. in the later seasons, he was respectful of her boundaries, usually more than thomas was. by season five, he was still julian, because he always will be, but he was respectful of the people around him. and even from quite early on he seemed to have a sense of what just wasn’t okay.

we know julian did absolutely awful things in life, but in death he found a second chance and he took it. his family is a group mostly of people he once would have been an active political/social threat to, but after all that power was stripped away in an instant, and alison came along and changed all their lives for the better, he became peers with these people because there was no way to benefit from hatred anymore and he slowly, very slowly changed.

so yes, hearing him make a rather horrible sexual comment like that towards alison, who is around the same age his own daughter is and who he loves as family, about feeding mia, a baby who’s conception he celebrated like everyone else, who he waited by the phone for to know when she’d arrived, who he’d grinned and stared at when she finally came home-

yeah. I have to disregard that episode regardless of other issues because otherwise, every moment I’ve seen julian be a decent person in the afterlife is just tainted. if that’s how he is by the end of the show, he is tainted for me. he deserved better than that kind of stereotypical, too-far and frankly not funny-ironic-misogynistic just gross-dehumanising-misogynistic joke.

Thinking about how both Julian and Alec have episodes where everyone is claiming to understand them and insisting upon their seemingly inevitable futures. Already pretty interesting, but the fact they both bite back with how these people do not know them at all-- completely unaware of how the other did the exact same.

i’m so bad at analyzing c!wilbur it’s almost funny but like. can any c!wilbur enthusiasts that are able to actually effectively analyze c!wilbur give me their thoughts on whether he did love l’manberg or not? because i always see his post-revival scene where he says he never cared about l’manberg as one big lie since i feel it’s incredibly obvious he’s lying. however i’ve recently seen some takes about that scene that have me more on the line. i’m confident that he cared about the people who made up l’manberg and that he was invested in the safety and freedom that l’manberg could give them against the greater dream smp but once again. c!wilbur is a character who’s words i’ve always had difficulty with analyzing and understanding so??? i’d appreciate really any kind of input from someone who Gets c!wilbur
