God. I’m just-- I waited so long for this. I mean I posted the finale last December, but... seeing it translated in full is really magical.

Kai’s made it his life’s goal to surpass Ajino, his rival for life. The one he respects most. Man, I’d love it if by the time Ajino recovers fully, Kai’s new favourite pianist will be Ajino instead of that blandass cardboard Shuuhei. ; -;

3 years ago, I wrote a summary timetravel AU here, Rewound, for Ajino/Kai, where Kai meets the younger version of Ajino--back in his prime. nnnghghghh I want that more than ever. It breaks me how they aren’t going to be able to grow old together, that Ajino is so far ahead ngaaahahh. Actually, I have no idea how old Kai is now. I would assume with all the time skips and passing time he’s gotta be at least a young adult now.

With Kai as Maria, I bet there were a lot of people who mistook them as a couple. Ahahha! That arm grab! 

Knowing that they’re going to spend the passing years with each other in their peripheral, whether near or far, improving their piano together.... god. That’s the profound stuff I live for.
