Heesu in Class 2 | s01e01
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
~~ Adapted from the webtoon "Heesu in Class 2" (2반 이희수) by Lily Zuzu (릴리).
If you enjoyed Ahn Ji Ho's acting as Heesu, I suggest you also check out Nobody Knows (Viki). He won an award for that role and in fact outshone most of the adult actors in that series.

Directors: Park Shin Woo and Kim Chang Ju
Writer: Oh Sang Ho (based on the movie Fabricated City by Park Kwang Hyun)
Mini-review:
First drama of the year for me and we're off to a pretty strong start, cause I really enjoyed it. It certainly requires suspension of disbelief; the main character is pretty much immortal, and the intelligence and resourcefulness of the characters vary according to what the context needs. But, once you turn off your brain and stop looking for implausibilities, the drama becomes a gripping experience. You can never predict what sort of twist it will throw at you next, and the situations the main character finds himself in are anxiety-inducing. Ji Chang Wook is a great action hero, but it's Do Kyung Soo who steals the show with a villain turn that's both gleefully over-the-top and entirely chilling. The production values are also strong; while the CGI leaves a bit to be desired, the action choreography and the camera work deliver. All in all, The Manipulated is a flawed but engaging Korean revenge thriller.
