the catholic church ain’t got nothing on the jedi order

You can debate all you want about the Jedi Order and their various war crimes, and whether or not their cult like ban on emotions threw Anakin Skywalker into the dark side. 

That is not why I blame the Jedi Order for his fall. 

I hate them because when Chancellor Palpatine befriended TWELVE year old Anakin Skywalker, they not only didn’t find that weird, but they were like, this is fine?!

(Granted the Jedi Council was suspicious of their friendship, but only concerning stupid stuff about attachment and influence)

Palpatine took Anakin, when he was a CHILD, to a goddamn CLUB. 

They became such close friends that Anakin told him about his first of many mass murders. Anakin spent the entire Invisible Hand incident agonising about losing one of his closest friends (novelisation).

‘Powerful politician uses his position of power to befriend child who belongs to a religious group’ shouldn’t be in my Star Wars prequels, that is something I should be seeing on the six o’clock news.
