The Spectacular Now (2013) // Sutter Keely & Aimee Finicky
Finally watching The Spectacular Now for the first time ever and all I have to say is Sutter and Aimee are so fuckin cute and this is gonna be my thoughts on the movie
“I just saw two guys look at you like that”
“Because you’re what ? Aimee you’re absolutely beautiful” 😭💛
THE WAY HE KISSED HER
Damn it Sutter 🙄 get it together
Krystal is just tryna be there for Aimee and Sutter ain’t having it lmao
I don’t wanna stop midway through but I gotta go to bed 😭😂 will continue in the morning folks 💛
The way Sutter just assumed her parents were divorced and then the bombshell of her dads death holy shit
The way he’s talking to her so low , trying to convince her he’s serious ugh
He’s LYING to himself omg
His voice sounds so deep when he’s telling her his dads not a pilot and that he doesn’t know what his dad does 🥺
The ENTIRE PROM SCENE 🥺💛
Aimee stood up to her Mom , Sutter was a bit mean to his and Holly gave him their dads number but she cried afterwards sooo … 👀👀👀
Not a fan of Sutter’s dad AT ALL.
Oh god my heart 😭💔 why’s he sabotaging this
OMFG poor Aimee 😭 what the actual fuck
They’re gonna pretend like it didn’t happen 🙄
“You’re all that matters to me” was cute though
“I saved her” Sutter honey 🤦🏻♀️ ffs
“Nobody loves me” the way he cries omg 😭💔
Okay , all in all. I loved it. It was cute and heartbreaking and Sutter is now one of my fave Miles characters. Him and Shailene are absolutely adorable together I love it.
I really wanna see this movie. It's so weird to see them together like that, because I've only seen these two actors together in the Divergent series, and they didn't have the best relationship there lol, so it's kinda funny.
Fave Romantic Movies 3/15: The Spectacular Now
The Spectacular Now is probably my favorite teen/teen romance/coming of age movie ever. This movie is so real and raw. It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. It gives me all of the feels. It’s a movie that makes you think about your life and what you don’t see in other people’s lives. I love Shailene and Miles and they have such awesome and beautiful chemistry together. While Aimee and Sutter are sort of characters that have been seen or “done” before part of their stories and lives are still relatable to most people and still unique and their own. I love how they both try to fight their connection at the beginning of their friendship even though they and their friends know they’re probably going to fall for each other. Once their romantic relationship really starts though they just go with it and let their feelings happen and enjoy their time together. They make their relationship the happy and pure thing in their messed up lives without really trying and that’s part of why I love it so much. While this movie is very real and doesn’t pull any punches it still has its light and funny moments that are so wonderful. It’s really nice to see Sutter and Aimee learn about themselves and grow because of each other. I feel like we don’t really see that a lot in romance especially teen romance. It doesn’t really have a very predictable plot that’s really been seen very much. While Aimee and Sutter are amazing and perfect together they really are wonderful characters on their own. Sutter’s always happy attitude despite his inner struggle that he hides from everyone makes me fall and feel for him and I love how sincere Aimee stays through all of the crap that she’s been through. This movie just gives you all of the teen angst and feels it should while still making you really think about life. I still really love/hate the ending of this movie and I’m not over it!!!
The Spectacular Now
Once you've actually talked to her, you see who she is.
