(The meeting scenario and confession is pretty much the same as the movie but don’t you want that for yourself anyway?)
- You met AJ when you got a job at the Empire. He thought you were pretty the minute he saw you but it took him a while to think about you in a romantic sense, and afterwards acknowledge that he was in love with you.
- The two of you; and the rest of the employees, became friends. He was always sweet and helping you whenever you needed it; and not to mention handsome, so it was only a matter of time before you started to have feelings for him. He had a crush on you for about a year before he decided that he just had to tell you.
- Since AJ is a nervous wreck about the entire thing, he tells just about everyone else before he tells you; though pretty much everyone already knows about his feelings for you.
- As much as you like your coworkers and the break room, you tend to take your break up on the roof which is where you stumble across AJ. He nervously asks what you’re “doing up here” as though he doesn’t know that you always go up there.
- And so, he finally brings himself to confess, rambling on about how it’s a good thing your there and that there’s something he’s been meaning to tell you.
- He recounts a few different memories: your two minute talks when you first got hired that were the highlight of his day, that time he spent an hour consoling you outside the bathroom door after your life felt like it was crashing down around you, that skirt of yours that he absolutely hates that you wore the day Gina got dumped.
- You sit in disbelief and shock for a few tense moments before you can finally get a grasp of your tongue to speak.
- All you can manage to say is “what” and he repeats himself, telling you that he’s “in love with you”. This time you just say “oh AJ” and pull him into your arms, overwhelmed with emotion as he wraps himself around you.
- He laughs shakily, his nerves bubbling in his throat and relief beginning to set in. He presses his cheek to your head for a long while before he hesitantly asks if he can kiss you and you laugh, sniffling happily and telling him that that’s all you want right now.
- He leans down and presses his lips to yours, purposefully slow, savoring the moment as warmth fills your body. When he pulls away, he can’t help but smile, pressing his forehead against yours as both your eyes close.
- You stand there for a minute before he speaks, asking if you can do him a favor. You ask him “what?” and he asks if you can tell him that you love him, a request you happily fill.
- AJ’s always touching and kissing you, he just can’t help it, he absolutely adores you.
- Handholding. He likes running his thumb along your knuckles whenever you do.
- His arm around your waist/shoulders constantly.
- Being dipped into kisses.
- Brushing his hair out of his face, usually before you kiss him.
- Pressing your foreheads together.
- I’m sorry but it has to be said: AJ likes being dominated by girls. Push him around, grab his face, take charge and he’s about ready to get down on his knees and worship you. You’ll have him wrapped around your finger.
- Teasing each other. He likes being able to fluster and playfully annoy you.
- Catching him watching you with adoring looks. He just gives you a bit of a shy smile whenever you catch him.
- Locking eyes whenever something is happening. The two of you can practically full on communicate with different looks and facial expressions at this point.
- He loves pet/nick names? He likes them in general but he especially likes the fact that they’re pretty much only reserved for him and that they’re a sort of special thing between the two of you. He’s called you just about every pet name at some point.
- Tons of compliments. He’s always calling you beautiful, telling you when you’ve done great job, etc.
- Please tell him that he’s special and handsome and that he deserves the world. He needs to hear it and the look he gives you whenever you do is completely worth it.
- He’s practically got an entire sketchbook dedicated to his drawings of you. He’s just about got your face memorized, down to every beauty mark and crease.
- Photoshoots. He probably made a scrap book of your relationship with all the pictures he has of the two of you.
- He’s got specific memories about you and your relationship that even you’ve partially forgotten about, so when he brings them up, you always get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside, realizing just how much you mean to him.
- I’m convinced he’s gotten you a charm bracelet for your birthday and every once in a while he’ll surprise you with some kind of meaningful charm.
- You’re allowed to paint his nails ...just this once.
- Cooking/baking together.
- Carnivals and amusement parks.
- Painting pottery at one of those little shops.
- Crashing at his place after spending long nights together.
- He’s got a drawer emptied out for you in his dresser and he always smiles when he’s reminded that it’s there/sees you pulling something out of it/putting something in it.
- On your period? Meet the best boyfriend you’ll ever have! He’ll run out and get you whatever you want, cuddle you for hours, whatever you need baby, he’s got it!
- AJ is a cuddling addict. He could spend hours with you wrapped up in his arms, listening to your quiet breathing with his eyes peacefully closed. It’s cathartic for him.
- Hanging out on the roof of the Empire.
- Chivalry: he’s always opening doors for you and helping you down steps, etc. He likes being the gentleman.
- He always wants to make sure you’re okay and take care of you, even if you really don’t need him to. He’s relentless when trying to figure out what’s wrong and is the worst at letting things like that go.
- It’s a good thing he’s good at comforting you because with all that buildup, you’d probably have to kill him if he couldn’t.
- That being said, even if you don’t tell him, he’ll eventually be able to piece things together and will usually go to hug you the next time he sees you or admit that he knows and ask if you want to talk about it. He’ll finally let it go if you really don’t want to.
- Since AJ has pined after you for so long, now that he has you, the thought of you with someone else tears him apart. So yeah, he has a habit of getting jealous though it’s usually when he has a legitimate reason to be. The thing is, he has a bad habit of trying to make you jealous when he’s jealous.
- AJ’s extremely protective of you; he’s probably fought someone in your honor before. He just can’t help but get angry knowing that they’ve hurt you; whether intentionally or not.
- The two of you don’t really fight all too often, though you do have arguments every now and again. He’ll usually stay pretty calm; usually trying to hide just how upset he is, but depending on the situation, he’ll either give you space when you ask or just not let it go until you talk to him about everything.
- He tries but always fails at the silent treatment while he can’t stand when you give it to him. He’ll always periodically come up to you and see if you’re ready to talk or try to apologize to you while you ignore him, though you usually can’t keep doing it when you hear him tell you he’s sorry.
- Tons of I love yous. He knows he does so why shouldn’t he say it?
- He plans his future around yours. He knows that you’re the one and is ready to spend the rest of his life with you. He’s practically already planning the wedding.
