Whenever Allah addressed the Prophet salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam, He ta'ala did not address his lineage, nor his wealth, nor his status, nor how he looked.

But He ta'ala said:

🌟 ❛And verily, you (O Muhammad) are on an exalted standard of character.❜  [Surah al-Qalam 68 : 4]

So remember that your worth depends upon your character.

Which Kind of Backbiter Are You?

A man entered at ʿUmar b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz once and backbited another man. وقد جاء أن رجلًا ذَكَرَ لعمرَ بن عبد العزيز رضي الله عنه رجلًا بشيء، ʿUmar said to him: “If you wish we will investigate what you say so if we find you a liar then you are one of those who Allah said about them {O you who believe! عن ابن عساكر قال شبيب بن شيبة رحمه الله من سمع كلمة يكرهها فسكت انقطع عنه ما يكره وإن أجاب سمع أكثر مما يكره

Ibn ‘Asakir reported: Shabib ibn Shaybah, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “Whoever hears a word he disapproves, he should be silent. What he disapproves will cease. If he answers it, he will hear more of what he disapproves.”
