Hey is immersing yourself in angst and crying over it considered a form of sh if there is a recognizable pattern of seeking angst plots specifically during moments of duress and/or stress or would it be considered a comfort mechanism instead
[she suddenly feels a cold chill run up her spine as she realizes she's being watched, a whisper comes from all around her]
so you're Apollo's new plaything? I'd be careful if i was you. he's quick to discard them.

Azura flinched slightly, eyes darting around. Her wings ruffle nervously. "Plaything?" The Sunflower Goddess wraps her fingers around one of her locks of hair, anxiously fiddling with it. "What are you talking about? Who are you?" -🌻

Telemachus: mom, I dare you to kiss the prettiest person in the room.
Penelope: Antinous?
Antinous: yes? *smug bitch face*
Penelope: Move, I'm trying to get to Odysseus's portrait.
So. I watched GDT's Frankenstein with my ma last night. During the segments showing the dissections, trial and error of transferring and maintaining the electrical charge to be sufficient in "jumpstarting" life within Adam, my mother, who is a practicing physical therapist for a few decades now mentioned how the body is essentially run on electricity on a different configuration, if you will. Also, due to the fact that she is a physical therapist who also worked with occupational and speech therapists, I kept remembering the few time she used to bring me to work where at times I'd get to watch those practitioners make an effort to help the children with special needs, learn basic motor skills, walking, speaking, and emotional regulation & expression; especially during the scenes where Elizabeth interacted with Adam. (I still think there was a bit of romance/eroticism mixed in there, just with a bit of nurturing side; no I don't think I want expound on that)
Anyways what I'm trying to say is I need a GDT Frankestein Modern!AU where Elizabeth is basically reincarnated as an occupational therapist focusing on care for older children, who has an affinity for bugs, who ALSO has religious/catholic guilt from leaving the convent after spending her entire teenage years as a nun only to leave because why not?
The Creature, now going by the name of Adam Frank, was a friend of Mary Shelley, who then took inspiration from his story. He's a professor of literature (or philosophy), with a focus on works that explore morality, mortality, creation, and theological topics that grapple with the idea of purpose in relation to life.
I don't care if it's fluff, crack, angst, they just HAVE to be doing these EXACT things.
Please SOMEONE WRITE THIS. I NEED IT.
Please look at my Hera/Rhea theory I beg of you
(ignore the yapping around it, i talk weird)
😝
(Not mine btw, just saw it on insta)
