DD#7 - Nug and Yeb
Nug and Yeb, the Twin Blasphemies. Offspring of Shub-Niggurath and Yog-Sothoth, parents of the great Cthulhu and dire Tsathoggua, respectively. Here seen in their unified, post birth form of shapeless abomination. It was a long time since I worked on a complicated piece full of stuff. So I did this blob of sad mush.
Why do the gods prefer
to stay holed up on Mt. Olympus,
hogging all the light,
just to occasionally drop in,
see how we're doing,
mess with our junk?
Pride?
Jealousy?
War games at the top
played out down here?
For who's benefit?
Grow up!
Come down off you high mount,

Another WIP. I’ve been listening a lot to Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland and was inspired. The space god was already drawn a long time ago but i’ve yet to draw the thing that’s supposed to be floating in his hand. The background stuff are just sketches. I’m really trying to choose a color scheme but I really like the blues. Also heavily inspired by the beautiful art of Jack Kirby’s other space vistas/ alien dimensions and his cosmic beings.
