🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩🌩
The storm didn't seem to be letting up, it still prominent outside, the loud whistles and howls of wind would be noticeable to just about anyone, the occasional thunder sounding.
A particular alien visitor, known as Nigrisshi, was specifically affected by this, curled up in the blankets, he shivered at each strike of thunder and lightning, the mechanic was on the verge of having a full on panic attack....when you came in, seeing him curled up, absolutely miserable.
You immediately rushed over to him, him blubbering a mess of words like: "T-The sounds are so scary" or "W-What i-is going on" while shivering. You pick him up, setting him in your lap, he was considerably tiny, you being taller than most mortals.
He'd bury his face in your chest, somewhat embarrassed, but also....grateful for your understanding and comfort. You wrapped your arms around him, kinda rubbing his ears a bit, trying to calm him down.
It eventually did work, as the mechanic ceased his shivering, he'd look up at you with his rather odd green eyes, he mouthed a 'thank you' as he again, cuddled against you....
You guessed...storms wouldn't be so bad for him, with you around....

Introduction
Finally decided to make a Tumblr for my sci-fi project that's been languishing on Amino for literal years.
The City
Astar City sits in the heart of the Atlantic, an artificial island that breaches the boundary of earth and the greater reaches of space. I is here that the greatest minds are trained, taught and cultivated to carry humanity forward in the pursuit of betterment--and to avoid the mistakes of the past. Guiding them are our allies and friends from beyond the stars, each bringing to the table something unique that enriches the lives of those living with and without gravity keeping them on the ground.
At the northernmost point stands the base of the great Gravern-Tybbs Space Elevator, the hub of planetary travel and resource management for Astar City and the very reason for the island to be built. The city itself consists of three 'rings' with the outermost zone being subdivided at the cross-quarters:
Northeast: the docks that import and export goods from the elevator to the rest of the world.
Northwest: the factories that shop materials used in the city itself or to be exported.
Across the midline is the Elgiss Channel that separates the industrial zone from the rest of the outer ring.
Southeast: Glassgow Park, a touch of nature to greet the incoming visitors and new citizens of Astar City.
Brightside amusement park lies at the southern tip of the island, full of neon and fiber optics.
Southwest: Elysium Square, named for the fields of heroes, this part of the outer ring is a type of nature reserve where festivals, recreation and camping occurs.
here is the flat color freebie for @cctchingfire uwu thank you very much
Short Prompt #47
“Really?”
The littler alien blushed, a bright orangey glow that made the bar counter gleam and exposed all the sticky spills dried along the edge. They looked up at the taller alien shyly, entranced by the flashing pattern in the hollow of their throat.
“Wow…” they continued. “I didn’t get made up tonight or anything. I’m kinda embarrassed… Er, not of you of course; I-I’m glad, just I wasn’t expecting…” They abruptly stuck out their fourth appendage claw. “I’m [alien name]. I’m very happy to meet you and I think your glow is beautiful.”
For some reason that seemed to take the other alien aback. Their muscles stiffened and their glow, a deepish red-orange they’d never seen before, grew stronger, leaking out their nostrils and backlighting their eyes. They did not respond though.
“Can’t you talk?” Civilian said drawing back their untouched hand awkwardly.
“I talk,” the taller alien said.
“Oh good! Not that I would have minded if you couldn’t, but I am sorry for assuming; I’ve been told I assume to much. I’m really trying to work on it. Um, maybe I can buy you a drink?”
The taller alien nodded and watched the little thing stand on their toes and wave animatedly at the barkeep. Their rapid blinking was doing something strange to their stomach.
It took a few minutes for the taller alien to decipher, but when they did it washed them with shame. They we’re supposed to lure in the nearest alien and eat them. That was their life. Those who hesitated starved. They weren’t supposed to think their target was cute.
…
(Little bit of head hopping in this one but oh well)
Oops… I did it again…
“I didn’t mean to do it!” Eirse said, her voice squeaking through several octaves.
Taln grabbed her by the arm, dragging her from the, now decimated, room. “What were you thinking?”
Eirse tensed, her chest feeling tight. She hated disappointing her. Everyone else could go suck her sails, but Taln? Taln mattered. “It wasn’t my fault. I just called his bluff.”
Taln turned on her angrily. “Eirse, it was explosive ordinance!”
She shrugged. “Well, I didn’t know that.”
“He said it was a bomb.” Her hands went to her head, but Taln’s closely cropped hair gave nothing to hold onto, and she just growled in frustration. “We could have died.”
“It was only a little bomb,” Eirse said, pinching two fingers together to highlight her point.
“It doesn’t matter!” Taln screamed, her voice starting to grow attractively hoarse.
Eirse smiled, leaning into her in a way that probably proved she had no self-preservation instincts. “I could make it up to you.”
“You can’t!” Taln said, throwing her hands up in the air.
Eirse slinked even closer, her hands now so close to Taln’s mouthwatering body that she could almost feel it.
