KG COUPLES AS MISS TAYLOR SWIFT ALBUMS
Starting off strong with my FAV couple of all time
- Carlonty: reputation & The Life of a Showgirl
I feel like it is a must to add both, mainly bc I've always thought reputation is Carla's album and TLOAS is Monty's album. They're cunty, they're energetic, they're witty, they're smart reinvention strategies and, most importantly, they're love letters disguised under insurmountable amounts of swag. I also think TLOAS is a tiny bit cringey and against all odds I ADORE that and think it suits Monty so so well.
- Lilget: Fearless
Miss Swift wrote Love Story for lilget, I do NOT make the rules. I also think Come In With the Rain is so unbelievably lilget, as well as Hey, Stephen. The entire album also fits Lily's family dynamic with Billy so so well (The Best Day is one of my fav songs). The aesthetic is soooo lilget as well, not only cause it's yellow it's so princess-like and so country and so teenager and KAOSJWISJSJS I can't.
- Alistin: Speak Now
AND NOT ONLY CAUSE IT'S PURPLE. It's such a genius pop rock album and it gives Paramore in such an alistin way, probably because it was inspired by Paramore lmao. There's a song on the Taylor's Version, Electric Touch feat. Fall Out Boy and OH MY GOD. IT'S SO. ALICE AND AUSTIN. I CAN'T.
On another note, this album speaks to me cause I do think Austin would stop Alice's wedding LMAO
- Cindix: Red
They are so fucking toxic OFC they get the toxic color imagery album. I think it's so epic that I relate the song Red to Felix when Felix is the one constantly wearing blue LMAO. I also think I Bet You Think About Me is such a Cindy song, The Moment I Knew as well, and then— well, all the toxic love songs in this album which are A LOT. This album also has one of my fav songs ever which is State of Grace so do with that what you will
Curiously, I don't think All Too Well (one of the most emblematic songs in this album) really fits their dynamic. It's such an intimate song and so poetic and we all know neither of them are capable of such depth LMAO. But the rest is very them honestly
- Theonny: debut & Lover
Religious teenage country girl album AND grown-up religious girl pop album? That must be theonny coded.
Now seriously, don't know why but every time one song from debut album plays, I think of them. It must be the playful, hopeful lovey-dovey intense vibe. Tim McGraw and Our Song are the clearest examples I can think of. It's not my favorite album but I do like some of the songs and these two are constantly on my mind while I listen lol
And then Lover well uh... uhmmmmm ah.... Idk man take a wild guess LMAO (just give Daylight a listen)
- Felidd and YES AND Tidd: Midnights
Obviously these two HAD to go together. The midnights album is very important to me cause it was the first Taylor Swift release I was ever conscious of so it represented a big moment for me and my music taste and for that I consider it genuinely genius. Maroon is LITERALLY the Felix x Kid song, which is ALSO super funny considering it's another shade of red and Felix is always wearing blue (which is also the color of the album). ALSO, songs like Snow On The Beach, Midnight Rain, Would've Could've Should've etc. are literally what Kid's relationship w Felix would sound like.
Apart from that, there are other songs (Labyrinth, Question...?, Lavender Haze, Sweet Nothing) which are VERY Ted x Kid, so it only makes sense that both brothers have the same album with the same boy HAHAHA call me manic I DARE you
- Felidd AGAIN: TTPD
The Tortured Poets Department is MY album and I think it's such a murderous combo to have TTPD x Midnights for Felidd. They're soooo toxic and while the Midnights album is calmer, more introspective and hazier, TTPD is CRUDE and honestly pretty emotionally ruthless, which fits their dynamic (and ANY dynamic with Felix in general) amazingly.
The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived as a song and as a concept is also one of the reasons I decided to include this bit because you cannot tell me Felix is not the Smallest Man who's ever lived™.
Anyways I have more ideas but this is as far as I'm getting today I fell asleep at 5 am and I'm seething with rage so here's Gabi uses her free will for stupid things day I'm going to nap lmao
