I love putting Celebrían in green so much.
Listen, I'm not usually a big Angbang fan. It's simply not one of the very few ships my aro ass cares about. However. Please consider:
Idk whether Reddit is just cis het and amatonormative as hell or whether I'm aromantic or it's just the autism, but I can't relate to any of its responses to relationship questions. Why would you not invite a good, mutual friend just because he went on a couple of dates with your girl years ago? Why isn't it okay to meet people your partner casually slept with before they met you? Why is it healthy to be insecure that your guy is close to a couple of his female friends? Who made the rule that you can only emotionally confide in your romantic partner? Why can't you love your dog as much as your husband? Why do you have to compare the love your partner has for you with the love he has for his parents and siblings?
I've been in love a couple of times and understand feeling fiercely jealous of their close friends and exes, but I've also been jealous of my best friends' other close friends. I just (rightfully I thought) put it down to unhealthy emotional insecurity because my romantic loves were unrequited and my self-esteem pretty low. I've never thought that shit was anyone else's problem to deal with other than mine.
Cis hets and allistics live on a different planet I swear. For people who constantly yell at us to "go to fucking therapy", they sure have no problem with being irrational and emotionally maladjusted in ways normalized by their society.
If an ace or aro person expresses that they don’t want to have sex or be in a romantic relationship, then it’s all, “but don’t you know that aces can have sex/aros can be in a romantic relationship?”
You know, right up until an ace or aro person has sex or is in a romantic relationship, then it’s all, “are you sure you’re really ace/aro?”
Like, just admit that you don’t think that aspec people should have the same amount of choice and autonomy over their bodies and relationships that you afford to allosex alloro folks.
just read with my own fucking eyes the sentence "not people low-key thinking it's cool to hate the romance genre" about a story that's not primarily about romance and has a romantic subplot...okay?? we don't hate unsolicited romance in stories bc we think it's cool to hate it. we hate it bc it's unnecessary and done so many times before, often derailing the main plot and theme for the sake of a dramatic romance that has no business being there in the first place. we're just so tired with amatonormativity. if you automatically assume that people complaining about unneeded romantic elements added to 'make the story interesting' bc you think it can't stand on its own without them is an attack on the entire romance genre, maybe check yourself to see why that is. the entire world is biased towards romance and it's hard to find media that doesn't put it on a pedestal. you can't act like we're the unreasonable ones here
Things that make you unfuckable, according to advertisers
An itchy scalp
A clogged drain
Eating a hamburger that’s too small

I am so goddamned tired of emotionally babysitting people because they are single and don’t want to be, and I am single and perfectly comfortable, and they assume their need is greater than mine. I mean, it is disproportionately men who do this, but it’s not exclusively men, and honestly? It’s bullshit.
