i think mai is one of my absolute favourite characters ever (not just in atla) i mean her voice is extremely awesome and unlike usual female characters who are all high pitched and bubbly shes so easy to relate to and empathize with because of the pressure put on her as a child making her unable to really express a lot of things and she just loves zuko so much she fucking loves him more than she fears AZULA like wow shes willing to go against azula to save zuko and also shes a giant badass knife thrower and her hair is really pretty i love her
