Horror’s Prince

This is Part two of the sides playing video games and now we have Virgil and Roman playing a horror game classic. Slenderman and I watched Rage Quit play to get inspired and just cause it was hilarious. Hope you all enjoy!

Virgil really didn’t want to do this, but he wasn’t given a choice. Patton and Logan have been playing some game series on the computer for the past week and he was okay with it until Patton had come to give him a game to play. It was a horror game classic and Patton said how to was a great bonding exercise and him and Roman should play together. They both refused until Logan said they just weren’t up to the challenge, causing Roman to drag Virgil into his current situation. “Oh come on, sir Oggie Boogie, where’s your pride!” Virgil sank in his sit dreading every second he was there.

“Just start the game so we can get this over with.” Roman gave a pout but complied, causing the title to appear. Virgil knew it well ‘Slenderman’, he had seen some stuff about it on tumblr but didn’t really care. The way they were going to play was Roman controlling moving and Virgil controlling the flashlight, simple and easy. At least he thought it was.

“Holy glittery princess! What was that?!” Roman’s fifth scream of the game caused by a loud noise, made Roman let go of the controls leaving Virgil to glare at him. Roman had barely touched anything and every noise sent him going crazy. Virgil thought it was ridiculous, how was Roman, ego and creativity acting scared. Virgil had apparently said his thoughts because Roman replied, “Well, dear Hot Topic. I’m NOT scared for your information.” Roman fixed his sash as he sat correctly again focusing on the game. “Just...being careful.” Virgil was going to ignore him and try to finish the game when Slenderman appeared killing them. Virgil could admit he jumped in surprise, but it was nothing to Roman’s reaction. He jumped back so far in his chair that it lost balance and crashed to the floor. Virgil was in tears, wishing he had recorded the whole experience. While Roman groaned as he sat up holding his hands on his back in pain.

“A-are-pftt are you o-okay?” Virgil was trying to hold back his laugh but one look at Roman made him burst. He was laughing so hard he didn’t even notice until he was half way down falling. “S-shit!” At that point it was too late and him and his chair crashed on the ground. There was a second of silence as they stared at each other before they both burst out laughing. They couldn’t stop and just looking at the other made them laugh even harder. At this point they weren’t going to continue-much to Roman’s relief- and they just turned the computer off ready to go to sleep.

“Uh, Virgil?” Virgil turned back at Princy, “We should play a game again. N-not a horror one, but I wouldn’t mind play with you again.” Roman was smiling as he waited for Virgil’s answer. Virgil was surprised at first but a smile grew on his face as he spoke, “If it means I get to see you make a fool of yourself, then I’m down.” Virgil quickly ran into his room as he heard an offended and embarrassed Roman try to get his pride back. Virgil chuckled as he leaned against the door. And if he listened hard enough he could hear the small laugh of a royal prince as he walked into his room with a smile.
