It was an early morning in San Francisco, the city was starting to wake up. The sun began to shine over the city, although there was already one man wide awake. James T Kirk was lying in bed reading a book. He was waiting, waiting for his bondmate to come home. Spock had been on Vulcan for the past two weeks to negotiate about a distribution deal between Vulcan and Risa. While Spock had been gone, Jim had missed him greatly. Ever since his katra had been restored the two of them had become inseparable ‘till this negotiation. He could not wait for Spock to come home, this was also the reason he hadn’t slept this night. He didn’t eat last night as well, he was nervous. Nervous that something would happen to the shuttle craft that would bring him home. He never wanted to be parted from spock in such a way ever again.

Star Trek Beyond - Altamid
@empathicstars
Rhee had been on Altamid for months now.
Krall had disappeared, which had left a vacancy at the top of the food chain. From the very beginning, Rhee had decided to take his place no matter what it took, not for herself, but for the ensigns who’d managed to survive the attack on the Enterprise. She’d mowed down her enemies without mercy, leaving a trail of mangled bodies in her wake. She gave no thought to how she’d cope with the blood on her hands. As long as her crew mates were safe, Rhee didn’t care what she had to do. Sure, they had Starfleet basic training, but none of them had ever had to pull a trigger or break a neck. They were too innocent.
She should have trained them better.
First went Finch. Thank G-d it was quick. Then they lost Nguyễn. That was bloodier, harder. But Rhee’d still had Kirilee, so she had to keep it together for the ensign she had taken under her wing. When Manas had slaughtered Kirilee, however, Rhee had lost it entirely. She’d gone on a rampage, more animal than human. If she couldn’t make it to the top to protect her friends, then she’d get there to punish those who’d taken them from her.
That had been over a month ago, now. Strange, how much had changed in so little time. With no hope of rescue, there wasn’t any need to adhere to Federation Standards. So when a Starfleet ship actually came, Rhee wasn’t sure what to do. Should she go with them and try to be an actual officer again, or should she stay here and live out the prison sentence she deserved?
In the end, she gave in to her curiosity and made her way over to the crew. Rhee was a mess, but she had no one else’s blood on her, so at least that was something. The woman remained in hiding until she spotted someone she recognized. She slowly made her way out, partially hoping that Aella wouldn’t remember her.
“Hello?”
A final set of 3D stereopairs from Star Trek: Beyond.
Shots 1–4: Krall uses a holographic display at his headquarters on planet Altamid. I extracted this 3D stereopair from a rotational tracking shot.
Shots 5–6: Kirk and Scotty on the bridge of a derelict ship on planet Altamid; from a lateral-rotational tracking shot.
More 3D stereopairs from Star Trek: Beyond!
This is Krall’s headquarters on the planet Altamid. I extracted these from a rotational tracking shot.
