I feel ashamed of being in such a "big" system, I feel ashamed that it works for us, too

I feel ashamed that even then only a few front consistently but I just know the others are there when needed or triggered

I wish I were one of those smaller systems with, what, 3-10 alters? Instead of, God knows, 80? Max, but still, fuck

Are we the only system where our alters pick up habits from each other? Yes, I have an example, obviously. So, back when Valentine was still newer, he would do this thing to let us know he was in co-con without having to properly announce himself where he'd tug at our hair (as in the physical body's hair). This was fine. It worked well enough. But now, with newer splits, a lot of them hate talking/fronting alone, so to alert other alters, someone new has hopped in front, a lot of them just... tug at our hair. Which, it's fine... it's just annoying when I'm doing shit like making food or scrolling on TikTok and just getting a tug at the back of my head! (It's usually the back because that’s where our hair is the longest and is the easiest to tug at without being super noticeable). It's a great indicator... it's just FRICKING ANNOYING!

Plural Alterhuman Vent

CW: Discussion of not feeling human enough. Isolation caused by plurality. Negativity towards being us.

Our identity is complicated. We simultaneously feel like a human that’s lesser than everyone else, a Pokémon, an angelic being, and a demonic creature. We went through trauma that made us pieces of a human. Split and divided into fragmented parts that can’t get past what we went through to become a whole again. What human would accept a barely functioning barely a person? We may talk to a regular human but if we don’t write down what we remember or tell the others of the primary or sub systems to talk to the regular human, we will just be left behind. A regular human doesn’t understand what feeling fake can do to an alternative human. Maybe this is why we relate to Makoto Misumi/Kuzunoha from Tsukimichi Moonlight Fantasy. A human, that by no fault of his own, gets treated as inhuman unless masking who he is. Why is it that people force their perfect ideals on others? What’s the end goal? To keep people who are different out of your perfect little world? We can’t even just be us, cause there’s more than just us existing in this body. The others have their own feelings and opinions. Even inside our own system, it feels isolating because who cares about the screwed up one?
