Why is it any of your business how people choose to live their lives and define their experiences? Like how does it actually, tangibly affect you?
Oh ho ho, I'm glad you asked! :3
With how you phrased this, and how a bunch of my posts have been jabbing at endos, as well as those like them, I can already assume what kind of audience I'm dealing with. So let's get this out of the way through many, MANY paragraphs, shall we? :D
For the purpose of this, I will be using the term "endos", but feel free to substitute it with whatever non-traumagenic terms you may like. :)
Endos tend to muddy the water as to what a "system" actually is. "Oh, you don't need this silly little "trauma", you say? You can be formed through this and that? You can even turn yourself into a system?" That makes it all the more confusing for people who may actually have a dissociative disorder, or hell, may have a different disorder, or a bunch of disorders which are confusing them with various symptoms that may appear to be system-like. Those people may end up not seeking out advice from those with things such as experience with their disorder/s, or training in how to manage these symptoms. Instead, they often fall into a rabbithole of, oh, I don't know, actively making their condition worse, which from what I've seen in these communities, is actively encouraged.
Don't forget the fact that some of you guys like to say that those with DID or OSDD aren't systems, or you use your little terms on us to degrade us. You're actively making more people think that we don't exist.
Not to mention, endos are a big piece of the puzzle in what stigmatizes the community. Look at places like r/systemscringe. You will see that a lot of posts focus on endos, and there are even tags dedicated to them. Now, people will see those posts more than posts of real systems, and think that most systems are faking because of endos. People can't trust systems even more, because there's spaces dedicated to the mix of ones who decided to become a system, and the ones who are manipulated into not getting help for their symptoms. People aren't going to believe you when you "sell alters" or "had your origin of being a system be that you got a little too cold." And when people who know nothing about systems hear about this, they think "Oh wow, is that what every system is like? Wow, either they're all faking, or none of them are real."
Endos aren't even scientifically recognized. Part of being a system is that it's not because you have other mental disorders or have any spiritual practices that do cause the symptoms. System terms are used to label and protect a highly stigmatized group of individuals, who have specific mental disorders that have and will trouble them for the rest of their lives.
You endos and etc making life all about yourselves and how you're so "stigmatized" when you're actually making other people's' lives worse is so embarrassing. It's funny how you go out of your way to find us when we're not even interacting with you. You can rant about anti-endos without talking to them, y'know! Not gonna lie, maybe you need to get a better hobby! :3
